realization
Finally the day had come, Jeongin thought as him and Hyunjin walked next to each other, to go watch the basketball practice, that Chan had invited him to.
"I'm a bit nervous." Jeongin admitted, chuckling slightly, hoping it would calm him down.
Hyunjin immediately took the chance to tease his friend. "Aww, Innie's in love." He ruffled his hair, but only got pushed away in response.
Jeongin rolled his eyes and straightened his posture. "I'm not. I'm just excited to see the basketball practice." His tone was serious, but both of them knew he was joking.
"You've never been interested in basketball. It's okay to admit it." Hyunjin chuckled.
Then the white haired boy opened the door to the basketball court and the team had already started playing, so luckily no one noticed that they were walking inside.
"Yeah, whatever." Jeongin answered, too distracted, searching for Chan among the players. His gaze immediately softened when he spotted his blond hair and he barely heard Hyunjin laugh at his answer.
While Jeongin suddenly seemed to be interested in watching the game, Hyunjin barely payed attention. He was only here for Jeongin, because he knew he wouldn't gave gone alone and he wanted him to make progress with his crush on Chan.
They were standing in front of the first row of the bleachers, leaning against the small fence, that was separating the seating area from the area where they were playing.
Hyunjin almost rolled his eyes, when he saw Jeongin's gaze following Chan, with such a dreamy expression and he was smiling widely. It was so clear that he liked Chan and he was sure Chan knew that. There was no way he hadn't noticed, if Jeongin always looked like that when he saw him.
"He's so good." Jeongin mumbled, even though he didn't know a thing about the rules. It just looked like he was good, but in the end it didn't even matter, as long as he could continue watching him play.
As if he had heard Jeongin's voice, Chan turned around to him and their eyes met. Chan's whole expression instantly lit up and he smiled excitedly, as he realized that Jeongin had actually come to watch.
Chan waved at him and Jeongin blushed, waving back shyly. He ran a hand through his hair nervously, when Chan smirked and then focused back on the game.
"Do I look good?" Jeongin whispered, looking at Hyunjin for an answer, but his friend didn't even look up from his phone.
"Yup."
"You didn't even look." Jeongin complained, making Hyunjin roll his eyes.
He looked up this time, seeing that Jeongin looked exactly like he had when they had left their dorm. Just that now his cheeks were covered in a light pink color.
"Yes, you look good." He answered, hoping Jeongin was satisfied with his answer this time.
Jeongin nodded and turned back to Chan, just in time to see how he lifted his shirt a bit, exposing a small part of his stomach. When he saw that Jeongin was looking at him, he pulled the shirt off completely, placing it on a bench, where other players had put their shirts.
A few of them had taken their shirts off already, but Jeongin could only focus on Chan's well built body. Even his back was attractive.
He seriously didn't know how to react and if he hadn't been so busy staring at Chan's body, he might have noticed, how Chan had mumbled a small, "Cute."
