When Delilah had left Queen Chrysalis pushed the thoughts of the mare to the back of her head. She wanted to spend time with her daughter. Queen Chrysalis often thought Moonlight looked like Shining Armour, minus the changeling features.

The more Chrysalis thought about it the more she grew with anger. Why did Cadence get to marry him instead? His other daughter Flurry Heart got luxuries beyond compare. Well, she was stuck here in a small cabin in the woods. I'm Chrysalis's mind she deserves a palace. She deserved her spot beside Shining Armour and her daughter deserved to be spoiled as much as Flurry Heart.

Yet the reality was Shining Armour was completely unaware of Moonlight's existence. Chrysalis feared because of her past getting separated from her daughter. It was best to be kept hidden. She was anxious about Delilah knowing her location but the mare seemed genuine.

Chrysalis often dreamed about a beautiful life in the palace. One with her ex-fiancé and where her daughter was just as important as Cadence's. She dreamed of the nice gowns she could wear to events. The admiration and the high life. Sipping away at expensive Champaign. What a nice reality that would be.

Moonlight looked at her mom. "Mom, I love you lots." Chrysalis could do nothing but smile at those words. It was a comfort to know above all else she had her daughter. She would never regret having her by her side.

Watching Moonlight chowing down on cupcakes and playing with her favourite doll. Chrysalis was settled down with a nice book. She thought long and hard about her life up until this point.

Chrysalis knew her hatred towards Cadence. The mare that had stolen Shining Armour away from her. She was adored by every pony. Pretty and all that sure. Perhaps Chrysalis wasn't attractive by pony standards but that didn't matter.

She just hoped Delilah would return in a week with some useful information. If nothing else tell her how Shining Armour was. She needed Delilah's eyes, now she had become important to her. She often wondered about what her life could have been.
