Hey loves, we're getting close to the end of this book and I love the old title although felt like it needed a little switch up. I changed it to Limbo to symbolize the borderlands cause it's supposed to be between heaven and earth or something, let me know what you think. Who's excited for season 3?!?! I'm so hyped but anyways enjoy the chapter <3

     The militants scampered away chanting whatever nonsense inflated their egos.

     I poked my head out from behind the door and looked left and right before running to An's side and shaking her shoulder.

     I whispered in a hushed voice to avoid any unnecessary eavesdropping. "An. An- wake up."

     Her body laid there, still, no matter the amount of force or volume I used. 'I need to get back to the body and get it into the fire.' I thought.

     'I can't leave her unconscious in a burning building....'

     I stood up and paced around quickly looking for anything to spark an idea in my head.

     "Hazumi!"

     I spun around and looked down the hallway for the source of the voice.

     Arisu, Usagi, and Tatta came running down the hall trying to catch my attention.

     "You guys-" I ran down the hall towards them, meeting in the center. "An was attacked, she won't wake up." I explained to them.

     We looked down the hall to her body and made our way back. Tatta crouched down beside her and tested her pulse.

     "I can get her out." He looked up to us. "I'll find the other workers from the maintenance unit and bring her outside till you find the witch."

     "She already figured it out." I tell them. "The witch is Momoka. She killed herself."

     "You're serious?" Questioned Usagi. "This whole time?"

     "I hope, that's all we got." I noticed Arisu out of the corner of my eye. "Your face... what happened?"

     "Nothing. Run in with Niragi, that's it. Chishiya threw me under the bus. Reported me to the militants."

     "...Chishiya did that?" Usagi nodded. "Same with me. Tricked us into stealing the cards."

     I laughed awkwardly, "you're kidding?" They stared quietly, avoiding eye contact.

     "But- why would he do that? He has no reason-"

     "You should watch out. He's not what you think."

     Silence filled the unusually empty hallway and we all became occupied by our own thoughts, betrayal eminent.

     "We should go." Usagi whispered. "If the witch really is Momoka we don't have much time to get her to the fire."

     Tatta nodded. "Clear the game. I'll be out there once you finish."

     "We'll find you." Arisu looked back and forth at our small group in determination. "Be safe."
