"Can't these guys quit it already? They are getting on my nerves," Lexi mutters dryly as she fires at some ships going after some of the Shadow Squadron. Suddenly another roar echoed from the many fires happening around. Lexi glanced to her left to see the familiar purple ion being aimed in their direction.
"Karablast!"
"Everyone head towards the edge of the ray now!" Anakin's voice echoed the comm channel Lexi put pressure on the controls and gave everything to avoiding the blast with the squadron around her and the others. Her eyes flickered to the ships in front and the sides, not knowing how close the purple ion was.
Lexi did not want to be space debris if getting hit by the ion blast, especially not wanting to be rescued by Anakin or even her master. She could feel some clones might tease her or even Commander Wolffe eyeing her with some sass. Lexi hoped to get to know the brute of the commander. She got along well with Sinker and Comet, yet with the commander was another story. Watching the space ahead, suddenly she sensed something not right.
"What's wrong Shadow Two? Your speed is dropping?" Ashoka asks causing Lexi to focus ahead and notice the ship sparking more than earlier. She didn't like the look of the ship since it seemed to be wobbling a little. "
"Nothing, Sir. Trying to keep it together." The clone replies and Anakin replies that he could make it. Lexi held her remarks that she wanted to say, her eyes glanced over to Master Plo's starfighter since she believed he also knew it. Suddenly a fire burst from inside causing sparks to fly and hit some other cruisers.
"Watch out guys!" Lexi explained when suddenly it seemed to lose control and it began to fall toward her and the others. Her eyes widened softly when it collided with two fighters but she did not have time to stress about the men they lost. Going over the ion, Lexi let out a breath of relief but couldn't help but glance behind her at the men who got trapped in the blast. Closing her eyes in respect of the fallen, her gaze went ahead.
"Shadow squadron check in," Akanin orders Ashoka told the male what clones were lost. When she listed the clones that were lost or caught in the blast, she looked at Slate who made a sad sound for the men. "I know buddy."
Yet, they didn't have time to mourn for the fallen soldiers in battle. Her eyes went to the blaster fires aiming to the group's location. Lexi avoided them with some difficulties and narrowly missed a fire at her side. Her eyes glanced to the clones who avoided the red blaster fires while trying to stay on course. Lexi hoped they would not lose any more men and hoped they would not retreat. They came so far to get so close, and for what?
"Watch it boys, don't let them target you," Lexi comments as she swerves away, nearly getting hit by a blast of fire. "Just watch the towers boys, and like Lexi stated. Don't get targeted on."
