my apollo-cheese for how bad this one is I'm rlly bad at writing angst :) happy reading (or sad reading ig)

Y/n stumbled into the cell as the door slammed behind her, banging her fists on the glass. "Guys," The Avengers just stared at her. "GUYS! Why are you doing this?"

Natasha replied, "It's your own fault, Y/n. You should have known not to try and betray us."

"What? What are you talking about? I did nothing of the sort. You guys are my best friends, my family." Y/n flattened her hands on the glass, tears leaking from her eyes.

Steve looked away.

Tony rolled his eyes. "Don't try to lie to us, you jerkwad. Steve told us everything- from blowing up my lab to the plans in your bedroom!"

she stopped crying momentarily, as the gravity of his words hit her. "What the fuck? Why were you in my room? What do you mean by blowing up your lab? Why would I do that? It's my lab too, you're insane!" She directed the former question at Steve, and the latter at Tony.

"We know everything, Y/n. Stop lying and tell the truth."

"I didn't do anything! I don't know what you're talking about! I didn't do anything, I promise. I promise!" She fell to her knees and punched at the glass. "Let me out!"

"You're unstable. Take the night to rest, and we'll talk to you tomorrow," Bruce spoke up quietly. "Come on, guys." The group turned and began to tramp up the staircase.

Y/n battered the glass with her bruised fists, screaming. "You- you can't just leave me here! What are you doing? I never did anything to you!"

Tony shook his head, rolling his eyes. "You broke our trust, Y/n. You did this to yourself."

"WHAT DID I DO? I DID NOTHING TO YOU! YOU ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! YOU TALK OF SAVING THE WORLD AND THEN LOCK UP INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR CRIMES THEY DIDN'T COMMIT! YOU ARE NO HEROES! I HATE YOU!" It was too late. Her shouts reached deaf ears, and she fell to the floor, a sobbing and sniveling mess. "I hate you." She whimpered, as the only people who had ever shown her love and care turned their backs on her when she most needed it.

As her anger ebbed, betrayal and sadness took it's place, and she sat up, hugging her knees and resting her forehead on them, leaning on the wall of the cell she had designed. The cell she had built lovingly, with her own two hands. She fell asleep to the sound of her own ragged breathing and the sound of her own fragmented heart. Oh, how her ignorance had come back to bite her. Now, of course, sitting inside it, she regretted building the wretched jail with no possible escape.

How depraved of her.
