Final chapter...

What's the sentence?

Anyways, nothing much to say, but after this chapter, I will be taking a small hiatus to fully plan out how I want Season 2 to go. During this time, I'll also be brainstorming ideas for new books!

Thank you all for sticking with me through this wild ride!

Yadda Yadda Yadda, blood warning and stuff...

And without further ado...

The finale.

~

Nothing.

Just emptiness, drowning in a sea of darkness.

Bubbles drifted softly to the top, the trail leading to an object, who's eyes were closed and was sinking downwards. The object was breathing softly, former worries drifting away.

Nickel blinked open his eyes, widening them immediately. He flipped up, looking around with wide eyes. Where... was he? Bubbles drifted from his lips, but the place didn't feel like water. He opened his mouth to say something... but found it hard to.

That's when he looked down to see his ripped-open insides.

Right...

Nickel felt like throwing up. He winced, remembering being stabbed through multiple times with the twisted spear. Blood and ooze flashed in his mind, his screams reverberating in his head.

That's when the coin thought of Taco and Lightbulb. They were still out there. The last time he saw Lightbulb, she was severely injured and unconsciousness. And Taco? He could only remember her worried and confused gaze. He hoped that she was able to at least remember him.

Nickel hoped that they were both... somewhat okay.

He needed to get out of there. Even if he felt safe and comfortable in this... emptiness.

Nickel kicked his legs, drifting off. His eyes flicked around, hoping to find some sort of light. He tried not to look down at his... gaping insides. It felt like he was searching forever. There seemed to be nothing! Not even a weird entity or an object that can morph into anyone.

"How do I get out of here then..." Nickel muttered to himself, narrowing his eyes.

"You don't."

The coin swiveled around, eyes wide. There was someone else here! He looked around, but didn't see anyone. He frowned. Maybe he was delusional and hearing things.

He kicked his legs again, hoping to find something. "Okay... weird."

"This whole world is weird, isn't it?"

Okay, he wasn't delusional. Nickel stopped in his tracks, looking around. "Who are you? Where are you?"

The voice spoke again. "I'd prefer not to show myself, but if I had to..."

Nickel rolled his eyes. "Why are you being so secretive? It's not like it'll be the end of the world if you reveal yourself."

"I mean..." The voice said hesitantly. "It could be... I suppose. I don't really know. I don't really use abilities like these often so..."

"Make up your mind, will you?" Nickel snapped. "I'm scared out of my mind right now, and that's making me angry. I've got people to go back to."

The voice scoffed. "I can't tell if I liked you more while you were trapped compared to now. And calm down, will you? Look, pip-squeak, you sort of know me."
