The house bustled with warmth and happiness, the open concept living room flowing into the kitchen where the aromas of a baked chicken, greens, roasted turkey, and Ari's famous griot wafted through the air. The dining table, long and decorated with fall-themed decor, stood as the centerpiece, its gold-accented dinnerware glinting under the soft glow of the chandelier.

Kay stood by the fireplace effortlessly carrying Kairo on his back.

"Yo, you getting too big for this shit" he joked, earning laughs from Dougie, who stood nearby. Dougie's son, Sebastian, clung to his leg while stealing shy glances at Kennedy across the room.

Ari glided through the kitchen in a fitted olive green dress. After the diagnosis of her mother she slowed everything down. She took a week from work to make sure everything was ok, and convinced her mom to move in with her for the meantime. Since then, she's been attached to her mom like she was back in her teens. She was balancing stirring the sauce for the macaroni and cheese while chatting with her aunt about Haitian remedies for her mother, who refused to rest, was looking over her shoulder. Despite her recent diagnosis, Mama was still very active in the kitchen although her daughter wanted her to be resting.

Kimora sat at the in the middle of the living room , braiding Kennedy's hair. Meanwhile Kairo, scared that he was going to fall off his dad's back, grabbed on Kay's braids.

"Fuck!" Kay yelped in pain, catching Kairo before he could fall.

"I'm sorry" Kairo called out, looking up at his dad.

"Yeah you lucky Ari didn't see that." Giselle said. Kay un furrowed his eyebrows, and sat down with his son in his lap.

"It's cool. Let's just sit in one place for the rest of the day."

Nearby, Kennedy watched as Sebastian shyly approached her, clutching a small paper turkey he had made at school.

"Uh, Kennedy," he mumbled, cheeks red. "This is for you."

Kennedy took the paper turkey and smiled. "Thanks, It's cute." She handed him a piece of candy from the bowl on the counter, and he practically melted on the spot.

Kay rolled his eyes at the two, side eyeing Giselle who was laughing.

"They are too cute." She added. Before Kay could say anything, the door bell rang making him put Kairo to the side and walked to the door.

Jo, was revealed at the other side of the door. Kimora squealed in delight, running to hug her uncle, who was undeniably her favorite.

"Uncle Jo!" she said, tugging him toward the table. "You gotta sit next to me this year."
