It was a freezing cold January Wednesday morning. Lincoln, now in 7th Grade, was running across the basketball court to get to his next class, which was on the other side of the school. 7th Grade was tough. He had also just turned 13. As he was running, he accidentally bumped into someone as they both fell. It was a girl, but he couldn't tell who she was. She was wearing a skirt, but her entire upper body was covered by an oversized baggy pink and white hoodie, and she was wearing her hood over her eyes. He quickly got up as he saw her putting her hand on her head. He offered his hand out to her. As she looked up, she grabbed his hand and got back on her feet.
"I am so sorry." Lincoln said. "Oh, don't be." the girl said. She sounded like she had a foreign accent. It sounded like a Japanese accent. As she was now standing up, Lincoln could see that she was around 2 to 3 inches taller than him. She also looked to be in the 8th or 9th grade. "Let me pick up your stuff for you." Lincoln said as he picked up her binders and her own personal bag for her. "Oh, thank you, you shouldn't've." the girl said, flattered, as she took them. "My pleasure." Lincoln said, before picking up his backpack. "My name's Lincoln, by the way. Lincoln Lloyd Loud. I'm a 7th grader. I just turned 13." he said as he offered his hand. "Hana Nakajima. I'm 14." the girl said, shaking his hand. "Um... are you new here?" Lincoln asked. "Oh, I'm a foreign exchange student. I'm from Japan." Hana said. "Wow. A foreign exchange girl. You're the first one I've ever met." Lincoln said, "I hope the best for you this quarter.". "Thank you. You too, Lincoln." Hana said. After this conversation, they then parted and went to their classes.
4 hours later...
Lincoln walks into his last class of the day: life science. His second favorite subject. As he sat down, he put his binder on his desk. "Hi, Lincoln!" he heard a familiar feminine voice say to his right side. "Hana?" He said, looking to see Hana on his right, still in her hoodie, "Huh, we share the same science class together.". "I guess so!" Hana said.
At the end of class...
"Alright, for your projects, I will assign all of you a partner. You have until next Friday to complete it." the teacher said. "I wonder who I'm paired with?" Lincoln thought. "Hana and Lincoln, you two are first. Come get your instruction papers and sit back down." the science teacher said. Lincoln's eyes went wide.
After getting up and receiving their assignments, they sat back down. "Hey, partner!" Hana said, happily. "Hey, Hana..." Lincoln said.
It cuts to Lincoln and Hana walking to Lincoln's house. "So, do you have any siblings in your home?" Lincoln asked. "Just me. my older sister and our mom. That's it." Hana said, "Do you?". They then stopped walking. "You're not going to believe this." Lincoln said. "What is it?" Hana asked. "You want to know how many sisters I have?" Lincoln asked. "How many?" Hana asked. "Here it goes..." Lincoln said, making Hana tilt her head in curiosity.
"10. I have 10 sisters." Lincoln said. Hana's eyes became wide as saucers as her jaw dropped. "10?!" Hana said in utter and pure disbelief. "Yep. That's right." Lincoln said as he shrugged and shook his head, as she wasn't the first person he told this to, so he was more than used to this reaction. "Do your parents know how to control themselves? Have they ever heard of condoms?" Hana asked. "I wonder that too, trust me." Lincoln said.
"So, what happened to your dad?" Lincoln asked. "He... left... He left me and my mom around 3 years ago. I still don't know the reason." Hana said. "Wow... I'm sorry to hear that." Lincoln said. "Thanks." Hana said.
(I have a Loud House theory myself. Lincoln was their last intended and planned child. Every sibling after him was made via broken condom accident. The Loud parents are so money tight that they can only afford such good condoms.)
