The months passed by so quickly and only a month was left for our wedding! We just reached Chandigarh as keart mumma and dadi ji wanted us to come there for some shopping and some rituals. I looked over as I found shubman and shahneel di there as they waved at us . We moved towards them as I hugged di.

Shahneel:hiii, bhabhi you are so glowy!
Ritika:haha, the pre wedding glow!

I smiled as the driver helped Kunal bhaiya and jijs to keep the bags as shubman hugged me.

Shubman:I missed you !
You: it's been just 2 weeks!
Shubman:2 weeks is too long!!!
You: really?!
Shubman:yeahhhh you have to believe me.

He said as I giggled as we got in the car.

We reached to the farmhouse as keart mumma and dadi ji put tika on our head as we got in.

Keart:beta aajao, idhar baith jaao.

I smiled at her as I bent and touched her feet taking blessings, as then papa dada ji and dadi ji came too.

Lakhwinder:khush raho beta!

He patted on my head as I smiled at him.

Shahneel:bhabhi, come with me I have so much to share!
Shubman:diiii!
Shahneel:what?!
Keart: shahneel, stop teasing him! Enough!
Shahneel:mumma it's not enough, kaka teases me alot too!

I smiled as their banter continued.

Gurmail:bass karo tum dono!
Shubman:dadi isse keh lo ,chup hi nhi hoti, fathi huyi speaker.
Shahneel:tu toh-
Didar: puttar! Bas!

Shahneel di pouted as she said

Shahneel:bhabhi aap aao mere saath.

I nodded as I went with her to her room as she closed the door.

Shahneel:bhabhi, aapko bas yeh bolungi sab abhi kuch der mein yahan aa rhe honge ,aur kuch relatives thode zyada outdated mind ke hai toh aap mind mat karna.
You:di don't worry.
Shahneel:nhi I know how they are ,like I am being judged because of my dressing style too so I don't want you to go through that. And one of our bua wanted shubi to marry her best friends daughter,her name is Siya, just don't let bhai get close to her.
You:huh?
Shahneel:yeah siya is so clingy,and shubman doesn't wanna be rude to anyone so he says nothing.
You: alright!

I nodded as I was already cursing that siya girl, girl, he is mine! We are engaged! Stop y/n stop! Suddenly the door opened as shubman got in.

Shubman:meri chugli chal rhi thi kya?
Shahneel:haan aaja baith, tu bhi saath mein apni chugli kar *tight lipped smile*
Shubman:besharam! Tu shaadi kar yaar aur nikal yahan se.
Shahneel:tu kar rha hai na shaadi, tu muh band rakh apna.
You:you guys are so cute!
Shubman:yeh ? Aur cute? She looks like failed chemistry experiment.
Shahneel: you look like a rat, did I ever disowned you kake?

I laughed enjoying their banter.

Shahneel:bhabhi I don't want you to change into too much traditionals but as I told you some of our relatives are really outdate-
You:di don't worry, I have bought suits with me, I'll go and change.
Shahneel:you are so understanding.

She hugged me as shubman pushed her.

Shubman:meri hai!
Shahneel:main kaunsa leke bhaag rhi?

He flicked on her forehead as he hugged me and pecked on my cheeks as my cheeks heated up!

Shahneel: awwwwwwww.

I facepalmed as shahneel di giggled.

Shubman:kitna zyada sharmati ho!
You:accha?
Shubman:haan.

I smirked internally, well right, he hasn't seen my wild side , only my friends now about all the kaands I have done.

I and shahneel di were sharing the room as di took out a suit and handed it to me.

Shahneel:bhabhi wear this.

I nodded as I took it from her and came in the washroom and changed into it.
Shahneel di helped me do my hairs and light makeup ,as we came down , keart mumma side hugged me as she introduced everyone to me. As his one bua , who I think is yashna bua asked me to sit beside shubman. I sat beside him after taking blessings from everyone.

Nimrit:bhabhi kinni sohni hai humari!
Khushpreet:aree ekdammm!
Yashna:yeh toh hai.

Suddenly one bua , who I think is Neha bua , the one shahneel di was talking about says.

Neha:woh toh thik hai, lekin ladki thodi zyada free nhi hai.

What does she even means as shubman squeezed my hands, bua continued speaking as I just stayed silent as shubman's grip on my hand tightened as I looked at him. He was getting angry. I held onto his hand as he looked at me as I looked in his eyes, and shooked my head.

Shubman:bua ,bass hogya, tab se bole jaa rhe ho aap toh.
Neha:yeh kya baat hai? Tu abhi bado ke saath muh bhi ladaane laga, kal ki aayi ladki ke liye-
Shubman:bua , kal ki aayi ladki nhi hai, biwi hai meri!

I looked at him as rohit jijs was looking proud and both of our parents smiled.

Keart:Neha, bolna nhi chahiye, lekin humaare ghar ki bahu hai, humne khula chuth diya hua hai, independent hai humaari bahu , bohot acchi baat hai yeh.
Gurmail:haan, Zara apne ghar ke bete aur beti ko bhi dekh liya karna.

I was in the room with di and shubman as he had his head on my lap as ritsy di, aneesha bhabhi came too. As he suddenly got up and scratched on the back of his neck.

Shubman:are bhabhi, please baithiye na.
Ritika:aree aree why are you so shy huh? Aram se so jaao wapas.
Aneesha:right , we are like friends so no need to get shy and embarrassed.

He smiled as he again laid down, he has no filter!

Shahneel:I am actually shocked!
Shubman:huh?
Shahneel:like daadi, mumma never say much to her as she has always been like that ,but today they did!
Shubman:yeah, but really she was speaking too much nonsense.
You:shubman!
Shubman:what? Should I just sit and listen to her speak nonsense about you? If you think so, I would never! Not even if you say so.

I looked at him as my heart was again wrapped in a warm embrace.

Ritika:kisi ki Nazar na Lage !!!
Shahneel:right mere baccheee!

She said witha fake accent and wiped her fake tears as we all laughed.
