(I LOVE reading your guys comments, it makes my day, so because I'm so happy rn, ANOTHER ONE!)
Melanie
The soft morning light filters through the thin curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. I blink slowly, still heavy with sleep, and stretch my legs beneath the covers.
As I shift slightly, I realize my body is facing Pau now. His chest is warm against my side, and my head rests comfortably on his shoulder, just like last night. His arm is still wrapped around me, though his free arm is now lazily draped over his face as he lays back, clearly still asleep.
For a moment, I just lie there, listening to his steady breathing, and feel the gentle rise and fall of his chest. It's so peaceful, so familiar. I can't help but smile at how natural this feels.
The clock on the nightstand catches my eye: 7:42 AM. I know we need to get up soon, his team trains earlier than mine, and if I don't wake him now, he's going to be late.
Carefully, I nudge his arm. "Pau," I whisper softly, not wanting to disturb him too abruptly.
He shifts a little, but doesn't wake up. His arm, which was resting over his face, drops a bit lower, and I take the chance to nudge him again.
"Pau, despierta," I whisper again, gently poking his shoulder.
He groans softly, but doesn't fully wake, only murmuring, "Cinco minutos más..." His voice is thick with sleep, his face still hidden beneath his arm.
I bite back a laugh. "You have training in an hour," I remind him, my voice softer but a little more insistent.
He lifts his head just slightly, his bleary green eyes peeking through the slits of his eyelids before closing again. "Ugh... I'm exhausted," he mutters, clearly not wanting to move.
I can't help but chuckle softly, a small, tired smile forming on my lips. "I don't even remember falling asleep," I admit, shifting just slightly so I can see him better.
He gives a weak laugh, his voice still thick with sleep. "Same."
"Well, you're up now," I tease, nudging his arm again. "Better get moving before you're late."
He groans again, but then drags himself onto his elbows. His hair is a mess, and the sleepiness still lingers in his eyes. I can't help but smile at how cute he looks, despite the disheveled state he's in. "Do I have to, I'm exhausted" he groans.
"Yes," I laugh.. "Unless you want Denia to file a missing child report on you."
Pau rubs his face with one hand, letting out a long, exaggerated sigh. "Alright, alright. But this is your fault, you know. Keeping me up all night."
I raise an eyebrow, smirking. "My fault? You were the one who didn't want to stop."
He chuckles, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "Yeah, yeah." Pau stands, stretching his arms over his head with a deep yawn. His shirt rides up slightly, revealing a sliver of his toned stomach. I quickly avert my gaze, pretending to adjust the blanket.
"You sure you're awake enough to walk?" I tease, glancing up at him as he stretches.
He narrows his eyes playfully, though there's no real annoyance. "I'm fine. I just need a miracle."
"Well, I can't help with a miracle, but there's a café downstairs," I suggest, swinging my legs over the side of the bed to join him.
"I'll survive. Maybe," he says with exaggerated drama, his smile barely visible as he rubs his eyes. "If I don't text you after training, it's because I didn't make it."
