July 30th
Melanie
I went back to my room to get ready for the night out with my siblings and Rebecca. Ended up hopping in the shower again and actually doing my makeup because Rebecca texted saying she wanted us to take pictures, and I wasn't about to miss out on that.
I threw on a cute, comfy outfit, maybe a little simple, Light blue tube top, white pants, and white shoes, and put in my small dangly butterfly earrings after like 4 days of not wearing them.. It's classic, right? I didn't exactly pack a ton of fancy outfits for this trip, I'd been living in Spain gear or just comfy stuff like tank tops, tees, shorts, and sweats. But this would do for a casual night out.
As I did my light makeup, my mind lingered back to Pau. I was excited to hang out with him later, but at the same time, I couldn't shake off that little nervous flutter in my stomach. Every time he smiled at me, I felt like my heart was doing somersaults. I couldn't stop thinking of the way he hugged me, the way he brushed my hair from my face. I just couldn't.
But with that my mind lingered on the conversation I had with Marc and Hector yesterday. How hector told me to make the first move.Shaking my head, I'll worry about that later, I tell myself before I finished up my makeup and checked myself out in the mirror. I was good to go. Hopefully, I wasn't overthinking this whole thing too much. Tonight was supposed to be fun, no stress. Just family then Pau later.
I run my hand through my wet hair fall in its natural loose waves as I keep looking at my appearance.I felt cute.
My phone buzzes, it was a message from Carlos that they're down in the lobby waiting for me.
I quickly grabbed my phone and shot Carlos a text back: "Be right down!" After hitting send, I gave myself one last look in the mirror. I couldn't help but smile. I felt cute and confident, despite the flutter in my stomach.
With a final glance at the room, I grabbed my things and headed out.
When I reached the lobby, I spotted my siblings and Rebecca immediately, chatting and laughing. Carlos was leaning against the counter, his usual relaxed posture, while Rebecca and Ana were scrolling through Becca's phone. My eyes meet my brothers and I waved at him."About time!" Carlos grinned, standing up. "You look great, by the way."
I rolled my eyes. "Thanks," I said, walking up to them. "I'll try not to make you look bad tonight." Ana laughs and wraps her arm around my waist. "You're the prettiest."
Rebecca laughed. "You look perfect, Melanie. Ready for a fun night?"
I nodded. "Yeah, definitely. Let's go have some fun."
Carlos links his arm with Rebecca and me and Ana walk along side each other as we headed out of the hotel.
"What's the plan?" I asks as we walk."Dinner, Then photo." Carlos says still walking ahead. "Oh! Lando says sorry he couldn't come, he had plans with Keegan." Carlos says.
"I'll see him tomorrow, anyways but Sounds good to me," I replied.
I let my mind wonder as we walked through the streets, the warm evening air surrounding us as the city bustled with life. The sounds of laughter and music from nearby bars filled the atmosphere, adding to the vibrant energy of the night.
Ana nudged me playfully, grinning. "You seem distracted. Everything okay?"
I glanced at her. "Yeah, just a little tired, I guess, had a long day."
She raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. "Uh-huh, sure," she said teasingly, before linking her arm with mine as we continued down the street.
We reached the restaurant, a cozy spot with twinkling lights and a relaxed vibe. The hostess greeted us warmly, leading us to a table outside where we could people-watch while enjoying our meal. It was perfect, nothing too fancy, just a laid-back evening.
