Chapter 54: Friday • 2 days left

*Alexs POV*

"Okay so let's go over the plan one more time before we have to get in our places." Everyone nodded and waited for me to continue.

"Ross, Rocky, Ellington, and I will be down in the basement with all the instruments. While we are down there, the rest of the guests including Rydel will do the usual. After they surprise him, Riker will ask where we are-"

"How do you know he'll do that?" Ross interrupted.

"Ross, I've known him my whole life, that will be the first or second thing to come out of his mouth." He nodded and I continued.

"Then Rydel and my old friend Dustin will lead him down to the basement where he will see us. He'll look confused as Rydel goes to her keyboard and Dustin goes to bass-"

"Your going to let a guy that Riker doesn't even know, touch his bass?" I groaned as I was interrupted again.

"No! Dustin plays bass so he brought his own! It's in the basement. Now can I continue?" Rocky nodded so I continued.

"Then we will start the song and then afterwards he'll be happy and all that other stuff." I finished and they all just nodded simultaneously.

Why is everyone nodding today??

"Sound like a plan?" I got a bunch of 'yeah's and 'yep's.

We continued to decorate and put things together since Stormie and Mark would be here with Riker in about 20 minutes.

*Rikers POV*

"Mom? Dad?" I opened the door to see my mother and father standing there.

"Get ready. We are going out." I tilted my head a bit in confusion.

"Just get ready, son." My dad told me. I put my hand up in surrender and walked to my room to get changed.

I put on black skinny jeans, a pink Hollister t-shirt, and my Converse. I grabbed my phone and headed to the door.

"All ready?" My mom asked in a sweet tone.

"Yup." I closed the door and made sure it was locked before heading out to the van.

As we turned on to an oh-so familiar street, I couldn't help but wonder what we were doing here.

When we pulled into the driveway of my childhood home, the questions exploded out of my mouth as if they were a ticking time bomb.

"What are we doing here? Where's Alex? I thought she was with you. What is going on?" My parents turned around and raised an eyebrow at my sudden outburst.

"Just come on. I have something really cool to show you! I got some new parts for the car I've been working on down at the junk yard." My dad exclaimed.

"Aw cool! Let's go!" I opened the car door and slammed it by accident causing me to get a scold from my mom.

I sped walk up the walkway to the door. I turned back to look at my parents to see if they were following me but they weren't.

Strange.

I shrugged and opened the door.

"SURPRISE!"

"AHHHHH!!!" I legit just screamed like most girls at R5 concerts.

It took me a moment, but I realized that this was a surprise party.

I smiled and looked around to see all my friends and some of my brothers and Rydel's friends.

But I didn't see my brothers OR Alex.
