Forever

As I was packing my bag when Math Class came to an end, Kinu ran up to me and hugged me.

"OHH! I see yu put all your anime keychains on yur bag. Lookie lookie! Mine too!" Kinu held up her bag.

We both laughed. I tucked in my
bunny pencil, animal erasers, and pastel gel pens into my Rilakkuma pencil case.

"Nice and snug!!" I said cheerfully.

Kinu's phone got a text.

"Aw man i totally forgot. I'm getting picked up by onii-chan boobear. I have a family dinner to attend -3-" Kinu said depressed.

"Heh. It's okay boobear! I'll be fine taking the train on my own!" I said patting her head.

"Oki!! Bai bai!" Kinu waved and walked away.

"Baiiiiiiii..." My voice faded away as she left.

I ran downstairs to the shoe lockers.

I opened my locker and quickly changed my shoes.

I have to run quickly so I won't miss the next train.

I checked my phone.

"CRAP!! It's already 3:22!" I said struggling to get my shoes on.

I won't make the 3:30 train!!

I ran as fast as i could to the station.
Scanned my card and almost tripped running.

"WAIT!!!" I yelled.

I slowed down. The train speeded away. I faced it as it drove along.

I'm NOT waiting another hour. I need to REST AND PLAY ANIMAL CROSSING!!!!!

I stood there depressed, looking down.

I looked up, and across the tracks i could see Haru.

Of course I was surprised, so i stood there. Staring and looking like a retard.
As usual.

I ran across the tracks to get onto his side.

"Haru." I said faintly.

He looked away. "Hey...Mizu."
Was all he said.

"You missed the train too?" I asked him.

"Well...What does it look like?" He snapped.

"Tsk. Jeez! Ya don't have to be so rude. You're lucky you aren't alone." I snapped back, filled with annoyance.

"I wouldn't care whether you're here or not....i'm used to being alone anyways."
His words faded away towards the end of his sentence.

I felt kind of bad afterwards. We stayed in silence for while, not looking at eachother.

*sigh* i'll apologize

"I'm sorry, Haru. I didn't mean to make you feel bad." I said looking at him.

"It's okay. It's not that you made me feel bad or anything." He said as he looked back at me.

I smiled at him.

Did he just blush a little bit?

Haru looked away again.

"Listen..." Haru said.

I hope he doesn't lecture or complain to me like he always does -.-

"Do you want me...to walk you home?" He asked softly.

My eyes widened and i blushed.
He asked...ME?

"Tsk. ITS NOT THAT I WANT TO WALK WITH YOU! ITS JUST GETTING DARK OKAY? YOU COULDN'T HANDLE A SINGLE PERV ALONE." He seemed flustered.

Well that kinda ruined the mood.

"Hmph fine." I said getting up.

"Lets go then!" I jumped up excitedly.

"Don't do that -.-" Haru said pushing my head down.

"You're a buzzkill Haruka-kun."
I said.

"Pft." He snickered. "You just called me Haruka-kun" He said as he snickered a bit.

"OH BE QUIET!!"I walked ahead of him.

We walked home barely talking.

I'll try starting up the conversation.

"Hey. Haru." I said to him.

"Hm." He grunted back.

"I don't mean to pry, but how come you never talk to anyone or hang out with your friends and such?" i asked.

"It's like you always stray away from everybody." I added

I hope I don't seem like i'm being more nosy than usual.

"I'm not the one that strays away...everybody else does." he said.

"Oh..." Was all i could say.

I want to help him. I really do.
WAIT HOLD ON!

ALL WE EVER DO WHEN WE TALK IS YELL AT EACHOTHER! SO WHATS THE POINT? HE'LL PROBABLY JUST DITCH ME ANYWAYS.

Well. If i'm going to help him...

I HAVE TO DO MY BEST!!!

"Are you okay?" Haru asked
"You're making weird faces while you're thinking. Pft. Its kind of funny and stupid."

He's chuckling again. That face. He's so different. Is bipolar the word??? Nah.

But...just seeing him smile and laugh. It's enough to make me happy.

"DON'T WORRY HARU!" I yelled with enthusiasm.

Haru got startled.

"I PROMISE TO ALWAYS BE WITH YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NEVER LONELY!" I feel more confident than ever.

All he did was smile the faintest smile i've ever seen.

How come i've never noticed it before?? How come i always ignore his loneliness????

I ran to him (even though he wasn't that far behind me)

And i hugged him. I didn't care if he was going to push me away. I started to tear up.

He was warm.

"Haru..." I muffled into his stomach.

"I think...I love you." I smiled and looked up at him with my teary eyes.

...

Eh??

Haru stared at me with surprise.

"Haha! Just Kidding!!" I let go and poked him jokingly.

I just stared at the floor embarrassed. Rocking back and forth & twirling my fingers.

Then suddenly...

Haru walked up to me from behind

And put his arms around my shoulders.
He was so close i could hear his heart beating.

I wish we'd stay like this forever and ever.
