16: Secrets

Keith blocked his sister's path for a good reason in the council office.

"Keith?" Katarina blinked.

"Sister.." Keith hummed, asking, "You've been going somewhere for a while now without us, are you hiding something from us?"

"Why would I have something to hide from any of you?" Katarina dodged his question with another question.

And it worked.

"Well... We're just curious that's all." Keith perked up in surprise, it caught him off guard.

"We're a little worried since you never skip lunch with us and you also... Disappear from our sight so often now." He said.

Katarina smiled, "Sorry if I worry you and the others."

It's a good thing it's just the two of them right now.

"I just have something I'm doing that's kind of important." Katarina explained, "I can't tell any of you what it is because it's a super big secret that I'm not allowed to say."

"You can't say it even to your little brother?" Keith played his little brother card on his beloved sister.

"No, absolutely not." Katarina chuckled.

Unfortunately the card didn't work when Keith used it, sighing in defeat, "Why..? I can keep your secret just fine?"

"Keith, it's not that I can't say it but it's because I won't." Katarina assured him, "It's nothing dangerous if that's what your thinking. It's just a secret that's all."

Keith hummed, brushing it off for his unnecessary worries, "As long as you promise it's nothing dangerous, which it shouldn't be..!"

He calmed down.

"I won't pry into your business." He sighed.

Katarina nodded along, "Thanks, Keith, I knew I can count on you. You're such a good brother."

"Now if you'll excuse me. I have somewhere to be." She walked past him too quickly for him to stop her.

"Ah..." Keith watched Katarina walk away, humming, 'I was gonna ask if she wanted some snacks since Prince Gerald had some for her...'

It looks like the compliment Katarina pulled stunned him blushing for a moment there.

Gerald wasn't sneaking Katarina away into his dorm for snacks this time but was letting her have them in the council office with them.

Unfortunately Katarina seemed too busy about something else to make time for it, this is going to make Gerald sad when he comes with the snacks.

Katarina surprised y/n with a rose, "Honey."

"Katarina??" Y/n didn't expect her to be here after lunch.

They did just have lunch together in the school kitchen again today after their sweet moment on the library.

You can't really call it sweet since y/n was just keeping a sleeping Katarina company while studying beside her.

It wasn't a date.

Or could it be?

"Don't you have any classes this afternoon?" Y/n asked.

"What about you?" Katarina raised a brow, 'I'm just skipping class since I know most things in it.'

"Oh, uhm... Yes, I'm skipping classes.. but for a good reason!" Y/n cleared her throat.

Katarina chuckled, "I'm skipping classes for a good reason too."

"Oh?" Y/n blinked, 'Odd. So this must be why her grades are average..?'
