"In their room in Brightmoon castle, a bright ray of light woke up Adora. She looked to her side to see Catra, who was still sleeping

It has been almost 2 weeks since they defeated the Horde. 11 days. It felt like forever ago...

Mostly because Adora had never felt this level of happiness in her entire life before Catra very catwalked her way back into it with her snarky attitude and her prickly cute cat ears and her annoyingy beautiful laugh and her muscles and her eyes...

adora just chuckled to herself and smiled one of the biggest smiles ever

When she turned to look at catra again, she had woken up and she looked so at peace, when they were at the horde, she had only seen catra at her absolute worst states, crying, sobbing, pleading, being hit, bleeding....

But here...but now... this was everything she didnt know she wanted.

Catra and Adoras eyes met, Adora could see a slight shine in her eyes which definitely wasnt there 11 days ago

She was feeling absolutely euphoric

She took Catras hand in her own

and thats when they heard a knock on the door

and her friend, Bow's voice "ADORAAA! CATRAAA! YOU GUYS AWAKE? WE'RE GOING TO HAVE BREAKFAST!"

Adora lifted her head so she could see the door, "WE'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!" she yelled back, exited for breakfast but slightly annoyed at Bow for having ruined the moment

clearly her expression showed it cuz Catra started to laugh

"Her laugh is so beautiful..." She muttered, sighing

"Dummy, I can hear you!" She whispered to Adora, kissing her cheek

Adora giggled a bit

"We should do get ready..." she said, rolling her eyes

Catras eyes gleamed as she nodded intently, "Lets go! I'm starvinggg!" Catra jumped out of bed and rushed into the bathroom to get dressed (P.s-No they were not sleeping naked, this is a fluff, she was just changing)

As the now-hero/princess of brightmoon, and well, etheria, her schedule had been pretty busy... she never got time to hang out with just Catra... or take her- HOLY KITTENS SHE HAD NEVER TAKEN CATRA ON AN ACTUAL DATEE?!

To be fair though, she only knew what a date was because the other day Bow and Glimmer went on their first one

And now they were boyfriend and girlfriend
And she was now aware that Scorpia and Perfuma are girlfriends... but they never really go out on dates...they just hang out

So how does that happen?

Will she have to ASK catra or just ask her to go on a date?

'of course I WANT catra to be my girlfriend' she thought, blushing, 'WAIT WHAT IF SHE SAYS NO?? WILL SHE SAY NO?? ARE WE ALREADY GIRLFRIENDS, OR WORSEEE SHE STILL THINKS WERE JUST FRIENDS??'

"Uhhh... Adora, are you ok?" Catra asked, smiling amused

"Yeah I'm good, Imgunnagogetreadynowwwsoooucanwaitorucangoitsfineitscooligimthefool" she said, slowly trailing off into a mutter (also chappel roan reference anyone?)

"Huh?" Catra said, laughing a bit, "Shes such a weirdo" she said to herself

After that, they went out for breakfast and Adora was nervously stealing glances at Catra the whole time.
Adora really thought she was good at hiding it but catra caught her staring. MULTIPLE times.

And apparently so had glimmer and bow

By the end, Glimmer pulled Adora outside by saying she needed some help (idk lol)

"What?" adora asked

Glimmer sighed and looked sympathetically at her best friend, "Adora, its the most obvious thing in the whole world! Just ask her on a date or to be ur girlfriend!"

"Which one?" Adora asked, pleading

Glimmer just shrugged

Adora groaned which made glimmer laugh a little, adora gave her a scowl and then they both walked to the table

"Sooo... what now?" catra asked the 2 best friends as they sat down

Bow gave Adora a 'do it.' look and gestured bu pinting his head at Catra, Glimmer nudged Adora's knee with her fist

She shot them a 'if u dont stop now' look and they exchanged a glance

"Theres a lot of nonverbal conversation going on here.... whats happening guys?" Catra noticed

Glimmer pushed Adora to get up

The blonde girl awkwardly cleared her throat, "Ahem. Catra, since we kissed in that cave where I nearly died, you are all I've been thinking about."

"off to a great start then" Bow muttered sarcastically to glimmer who chuckled

"Its been 11 days. Ive been with you all those days and they've been the happiest i've ever been! Will you be my girlfriend and go on a date with me?" She completed

"Oh dam, she pulled out both!" Glimmer muttered to Bow
"Thats your fault" He replied, making glimmer smile and roll her eyes

"Took you long enough! But you got there!" Catra snorted and commented

"Huh?" Adora said making this face -> 😃

Catra just laughed, got up, grabbed Adora's face and kissed her

Once they pulled apart, Adora looked happy but confused

"Of course i will go on a date with you. I would absolutely love to be your girlfriend!" Catra said

Adora was so happy, she complained about her cheeks hurting from smiling the whole way back

Eventually they did go on a date, It was a picnic by the lake and after they would go on a canoe... which of course eventually turned into a race"

"NO WAY?! THATS WHAT HAPPENED??" Mermista asked enthusiastically

"I DONT KNOW, MERMISTA! I WAS'NT THERE!" Frosta said, rolling her eyes

"you are a horrible person for a 13 year old." she said

"We get to be." Frosta commented

"I wish you would actually leave." Mermista nodded her head unseriously

Frosta snorted, stood up and walked out
