"I like a man who knows how to stand up against me." __________________
Warlord Y/n, an enemy to the people and an icon of war amidst peaceful servants. He wasn't necessarily evil or a man of ruthless behavior, but he was far from peaceful and carelessly pillaged whatever land he could afford to travel to. His presence in this lost belt was both a blessing and a curse for anyone involved.
His very presence near Rome prevented many monsters and demons from wanting to attack the people, especially the minor villages outcast from the main empire. His presence alone was enough to make the demonic armies reconsider attacking.
However, on the flip side of that, Rome and the neighboring nations feared his eventual attack on their cities and were forced into some pretty crazy laws. Curfews that made people angry and massive military forces to operate while he was present.
He made a large mountain to the north of the great pass, his home base. Having built a massive castle on the top of the mountain's peak. The people of Rome came to call this castle the Crooked Fang Castle because of the dragon bones that were displayed along the walls.
Y/n was worshipped as a deity among the villagers who lived at the base of the mountain who now saw him as a proper god, to the point of abandoning their religions for him instead. It was amazing sight to see so many people view him as their God.
Their system was simple for the villagers. Give everything you owed to him, your cattle, food, gold, personal treasures, and the occasional beautiful women, and he'd offer you protection from the demons. His protection was absolute. No demon dared enter a hundred mile radius of the castle.
However, his name also brought a massive amount of imbalance In the universe. In particular, the real Gods of these lands saw him as a prime example of mortality leading to false power. They saw Y/n as their number one enemy, and the reason was so clear—
"Lord Y/n, it seems as though we have a demonic presence about fifteen miles north of here." A soldier dressed in Roman afore stood in the presence of the throne room. It was clear he was a traitorous soldier of Rome. "My Scouts report at least ten gathered there."
Y/n, being as arrogant and crude as he was, sat atop his throne without a care in the world. Two women were around him, one on his lap kissing his neck , and the other to his right gently massaging his hand.
Both these women were beautiful and wore the most desirable cotton clothing the Romans prided themselves on. However, these particular garments didn't do well to cover their bodies, but Y/n didn't mind. He enjoyed it.
"Have your scouts attempted to push them back?" Y/n asked rather nonchalantly while rubbing the back of his neck with his available hand.
The Roman soldier. "No, Lord. Forgive me, I told them to return to their previous positions immediately to not risk being harmed without your command."
