My eyes shot open at the sound of a blaring phone. Turning over to see a sleepy girl with doe eyes looking at him innocently
Her bottom lip stuck out in a pout as she sat there cris cross watching him
The sound of the phone still blaring in the background as he was lost in her presence.
Her hand flung out towards him catching his attention. Her tiny hand grasping the phone.
It read 'mom'
I looked back up at her and she whispered
"They're back from their trip and they're gonna ask where I am and tell me to come home"
She pouted and turned away
"I don't wanna go home"
I looked at the phone contemplating whether letting it ring was the best option or telling her she should go home and check in with her parents
"I think you need to go home baby. You haven't seen your parents in a month and they probably miss you"
She pouted and nodded
"Your probably right"
