Megumi looked upwards while setting his book back on his desk. The couch was comfortable, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Sometimes the object made for massaging the back with its incomprehensible inner-workings was more appealing than an actual bed, and sometimes it wasn't. It really just depended on his mood.

"Megumi-chan."

...Now his mood was gone, "you've been visiting me a lot recently."

"Eh? Can't a teacher visit his student from time to time?" Gojo walked into his room from the open door with his hands at the back of his head.

"Whatever," Megumi sighed while laying down on the couch. "What is it this time?" He already knew the schedule.

"Nothing."

"Nothing?" He perked up with slight confusion.

"Yeah, nothing," Gojo shrugged while finding a chair not too far off, and sat down on it, "a bit of a short break before I have to go and settle some other business."

"...Okay."

Nothing followed after that as the spring sun peeked over the curtains of the windows. The light had its path paved through by the accommodating silence, and brief particles of dust could be seen amongst the brightened canvas.

"Hey. Do you plan on becoming the Strongest?" Gojo Satoru asked a question, abruptly ending the moment before.

"Didn't I already tell you this?" The black-haired man turned from his couch to gauge the other man's expression, "I'm just here to find a way to lift my sister's Curse."

"Hypothetically, you have the potential—which you do—would you wanna become the Strongest? Quite a title to have too, Strongest of the Modern Era. Strongest of the Next Generation."

"Not interested."

"Ha~? How could you be SO boring?" Gojo leaned back on his chair with dramatism, "don't you wanna possess the strength to... I dunno? Fling a skyscraper into the stratosphere or something?"

"I don't see how that can help with my daily life," was Megumi's blunt response.

"It can help you a ton! You're just not thinking too deeply into it."

"Give me five valid applications it can be used for in my life.

"Uh..." Gojo gained a thoughtful look while glancing elsewhere. "Protecting yourself, protecting myself, protecting your sister, scaring bad people, and showing off."

"Those are the worst reasons you've ever given." He deadpanned.

"So and so, might be up there," the white-haired man didn't even attempt to refute it, "no, but seriously Megumi-chan. You have the Ten Shadows Cursed Technique, the Prized Jewel of the Zen'in Clan. Do you really have no aspirations aside from living a normal life?" His mood took a sharp turn as he lowered his shades to stare at the teenager.

"...I don't."

"There's a lot I see in you," Gojo Satoru pointed his finger parallel to his forehead while leaning back again, "it'd be a shame to see it all go to waste."

"Why does it matter?"

"You're right, why does it?" The Strongest Sorcerer asked, "hell if I know." A chuckle left his lips, one which Fushiguro Megumi couldn't quite understand. "If you ever do become the Strongest—don't get too lonely, 'kay?"
