When you're upset

Ponyboy: he'd always hold you close and repeatedly tell you how much you meant to him until you were smiling again.

Johnny: he would let you cry in his chest until you calmed down a little and then he'd listen to you spill the whole story of why you were upset.

Two-Bit: he absolutely hated to see you crying and upset so he'd crack jokes and act goofy until you were laughing again.

Darry: he'd wrap you in a blanket on the couch and bring you some chocolate cake. He'd sit there and listen to you while you ate your chocolate cake. And by the end of it you were laughing because you had frosting all over your face.

Dally: he'd take you to Buck's and offer you a drink. When you refused he'd take you up in his room and kisses you until you felt better.

Soda: he would do one simple thing: grin. Soda could make anyone smile just by grinning. His smile gave you butterflies.

Steve: he'd see that you were upset and dab some of the frosting off his cake onto your nose and kiss it off. It wasn't a big gesture, but it always made you smile and forget what you were upset about.
