Yuma, Tori, and Anna were now sitting in a park with Mizuki.

Yuma: So, why do you know Kai? You two friends?

Mizuki: You could say that. We think alike. He even saved me when Kite cornered me.

Tori: Do you think Kite could be behind all this?

Mizuki: Hmm. I can't be certain yet. For now, we need to look out for anything suspicious. 'These attacks on duelists do seem like they were done by Kite. But.... Somethings off.'

Kai: Hey! Just then, they look to see Kai running up to them.

Anna: Finally.

Kai: Huh? Kai spots Mizuki sitting with them. Mizuki?

Mizuki: Glad to see you again, Kai.

Kai: Why are you here?

Tori: Mizuki was asking for our help with something.

Astral: Apparently, duelists are being stripped of their souls. It's quite possible it could Kite.

Kai: Really?! Kai was surprised, but then began to think. 'That's not too hard to believe. After all, Kite needs those Number cards to help his brother.' But wait, Kite been doing that for a while now. Are there really that many victims?

Mizuki: That's the thing. The number of victims. I've checked and more than 30 people have been sent to the hospital with their souls taken.

Everyone: [Gasp] They were all shocked to hear this.

Yuma: That many?!

Kai: There can't be that many Number users in the city.

Mizuki: That's what I thought too. I did some investigating and it turns out that only a few of them actually had Number cards. The others didn't have any.

Kai: Wait, so normal duelists are being targeted too?

Yuma: Kite wouldn't do that. He only challenges people with Number cards. It makes no sense for him to go out and attack innocent duelists.

Mizuki: Agreed. That's why I'd like it if you all helped me.

Kai: Hm.

Yuma: Astral?

Astral: I agree that cooperating to find the culprit is the best course of action. 'Though, I am curious to who this mysterious duelist is and why they are attacking duelists at random.'

As they were talking, Yagumo stood on top of a street light. He grinned then held his hand out. A think webbing shot out from his sleeve and was about to hit Astral. Cologne notices this.

Cologne: [Gasps] Astral, look out! Cologne pushes Astral out of the way.

Astral: Ah! The webbing wrapped around Cologne, immobilizing her.

Kai: Cologne!

Yuma: What's going on?!

Yagumo retracts the web and dangles Cologne like a piñata. They all see the young man grinning at them mockingly.

Yagumo: Heh. Lookie what I caught.

Kai: Let her go! Kai demanded.

Yagumo: Oh, I'll let her go. But first...

Yagumo pulls out a Number card and hands it to Cologne. Once the cards power envelopes the spirit, she was soon being corrupted by the Number's influence.

Kai: Oh no!

Yagumo releases Cologne who falls to the ground. The boy then snickers and disappears. The others run over to try and help the spirit, but Cologne soon stands up.
