As they stepped off the plane in Canada, Shivika's face fell.

Shivika -  Canada va ?

Her voice tinged with disappointment.

Ashok took her hand, apologetic.

Shivika pouted.

Ashok chuckled and pulled her close.

Ashok - we'll make up for it soon. Namaa plan panna honeymoon laa endha changes hum ilaa.. indha business meet mudinjaa aparam we'll go back home. Then next week namaa honeymoon ku kelambalaam.

Shivika smiled, feeling a little better. She knew that Ashok's business was important, and she was willing to make sacrifices for him. But she was also glad that he was committed to making it up to her.

As they made their way to the hotel, Shivika leaned into Ashok, he caressed her hair.

As the three-day meeting came to a close, Ashok took Shivika to a small party hosted by one of his business associates. Shivika was excited to finally get out and socialize after spending the past few days alone in the hotel room.

As they mingled with the other guests, Ashok was called away for a brief conversation with one of his colleagues. Shivika stood alone for a moment, sipping her drink and taking in the sights and sounds of the party.

Shivika nodded, feeling a sense of unease.

The woman smiled, a cold, calculating smile.

Reshma - My name is Reshma, by the way. I used to date Ashok.

Shivika's eyes widened in surprise, but Reshma just laughed.

Reshma - Oh, don't worry, dear. Ashok and I are long over. But I have to warn you, he's not the commitment type. He only does contract dating, and once he's done with you, he'll discard you like a used tissue.

Shivika felt a chill run down her spine as Reshma words struck a nerve.

Shivika remembered how Ashok had introduced her at the party, as his "date", not his girlfriend or wife.

With that, Reshma turned and walked away, leaving Shivika feeling stunned and confused. Was Ashok really the kind of man Reshma had described? And what did it mean for their relationship?

Shivika felt a surge of discomfort, but Reshma didn't seem to care. She launched into a detailed account of her relationship with Ashok, sharing intimate details and stories that made Shivika's skin crawl.

Reshma - He would sweep me off my feet and take me on romantic getaways. But as time went on, he started to get distant and cold.

Shivika couldn't tolerate it anymore. She felt bad for not knowing anything about Ashok's ex-girlfriend, and Reshma's words were making her feel like she was living in a bubble.

Shivika - How long did you date Ashok?

Reshma smiled.

As the evening drew to a close, Ashok and Shivika made their way back to their hotel room. Shivika had been quiet and withdrawn since the party, and Ashok couldn't help but notice.

Shivika forced a smile onto her face.

Ashok's expression softened.

Ashok nodded pulled her into a gentle hug.

Shivika smiled weakly, feeling grateful for Ashok's concern, but also anxious about how she was going to confront him about Reshma's revelations. She knew she couldn't keep pretending that everything was fine, but for now, she just didn't have the emotional energy to deal with it.
