Chapter fifty two

"Through the dark." 

They all were walking out, as Jeremiah, Conrad and Steven walked together, Diana, Skye and Belly walked behind them "well, I may not have much to compare the kiss to as of yet, but, uh, consider me team Cam Cameron." Skye shared, as Belly laughed, Diana nodded "okay." she told them, as they walked over to the boys, their mom and Julia came walking up to them "all right, don't look too happy. You're not getting rid of me forever. Your wicked aunt Julia is just a phone call away." Julia shared "thank you for everything." Conrad shared "I'm glad it worked out." Julia shared "we should get going, too." their mom shared.

"Uh." Conrad said "uh, actually, I was wondering can..can you stay, for, like, one more night? Come on. We have to help Con study for his final. It's tomorrow." Jeremiah shared "dude, you know I'm eighteen, right? Like, I don't need my mom's permission to..I need my mom's permission to study. " Steven shared "Laurel, please. They're not gonna let me go to transfer to Stanford if I don't pass this." Conrad shared "you better do more than just pass." their mom shared "yes, ma'am." Conrad shared "you really got in?" Belly asked "yeah." Conrad shared "does this mean I'll have to sleep on a sleeping bag tonight?" their mom asked "oh, we've got the motel room for one more night. You want it?" Julia asked.

"Oh, heck yeah. Thank you." their mom shared "perfect." Julia shared, as the two walked toward's the car "oh, Skye, parting gift." Conrad shared, handing the leftovers "thank you, Conrad, my dear sir." Skye shared, saluting him "my pleasure." Conrad told them, as him and Diana began walking to the house "Stanford, huh? So I guess those five times I checked your essay really worked out, huh?" Diana asked "it did." Conrad shared "well, when you get there make sure to tell me how it is, because according to my counselor with how good my grades are I am on the path for an early acceptance to Stanford's early admission college program." Diana shared "Diana, that's amazing." Conrad shared.

"Well, you'd be the the first person other then my counselor to say that seeing as nobody else knows. Cause everything's just been moving so fast, so I just.." Diana shared, taking a deep breath "just need things to slow down a bit." she shared "I promise." Conrad shared, as the two headed inside, walking down the hallway and into the kitchen where Jeremiah and Steven were eating the bacon "I'm too exhausted to eat." Conrad shared "how can you even eat that." Diana shared "I could pass out on this counter right now." Jeremiah shared "me too." Conrad shared, laying down on it "I'll go get the sleeping bags." Diana shared, going to walk off, Belly walked in front of her "all right. Come on. It's time to start studying, you lazy bums." she shared.

As Diana put her hands on her shoulders "we need to at least power nap, Bells." she shared "okay, I'm tired too. But it's already the afternoon. I mean, we have to work all night and leave really early tomorrow." Belly shared "your not coming." Diana shared "what? Diana!" Belly voiced "no, you've been out of the loop too long. You need to reconnect with the volleyball girls. Because someone's gotta take my spot at camp." Diana shared, as Belly looked at her with wide eyes "one hour of sleep." Diana shared, walking off, and as she did, Jeremiah and Conrad followed her "not you." Belly told Steven "oh, come on." Steven told her "I need your help. Let's go." Belly shared, dragging him out of the house.

The sun soon set, as Belly walked up to the three of them sleeping in the living room, she nudged Diana, waking her up first, Diana got up walking into the kitchen, seeing all the mcdonald's, she grabbed the ten piece nugget and fry and began eating it, Belly, Jeremiah and Conrad came walking in "yes! Mickey d's cheeseburgers." Jeremiah shared, going to grab one, Belly smacked his hand "no, no, no. These are crucial part of the reward system." she shared "well, why do they get to eat?" Jeremiah asked, as Diana grabbed the coke cola "I'm guessing it goes something like if Conrad studies he and you get burgers." she shared.
