Given to the Dark Angel Chapter 8

Shay had let me finish eating as he pumped up an air mattress, his muscles flexing, a small layer

of perspiration layering on his skin. I had pulled my arms inside my hoodie and was dozing off, the

warmth of the little barn was comforting and making my eyelids droop. Shay must have went to

change because he came out in gray sweat pants, but thankfully he wore no shirt. His hair was

tousled and those white teeth of his came out as he smiled at my little ball form on the cot.

I had started to get up but Shay held his hand up for me to stop, and he swiftly came over to me,

picked me up with ease and kept me in my tight little ball. His grin got bigger, “You’re all mine now.”

My face was a mere inch from his, my small body protected by his. He brushed his lips back and

forth across my jaw, making me shiver uncontrollably. He gave my lips a small but warm kiss, and

then carried me off to the air mattress.

I stretched out of my hoodie when he laid me down. He flexed his back, letting his wings bust out,

as he laid down next to me. His wings created a protective barrier around us, also keeping all the

sleep. I gave up as my face was buried into his muscled chest. I decided to relax in my

imprisonment, but then I heard the screen door open and shut. I tried to turn my head to look but it

was to no avail. I heard someone scoff and then felt that same person prying Shay’s arms off me

like it was nothing at all.

“You know you can wake him up.” Chris laughed and shook his head while I got up. I tucked a

piece of hair behind my ear. “I didn’t want to wake him, he wouldn’t wake me.” Chris looked at me

for a moment before heading back outside.

I turned back to look at Shay, his eyes wide open, propped up on his elbow. “Good morning my

angel.” He flashed his teeth and sat up. He put both of his big hands on the side of my face, pulling

it closer to his. “I love you.” His smiled widened before melting his delicious lips to mine.

We made eggs and bacon out on the fire for everyone. Shay had fed me my food while the other

guys looked at me in jealousy. I wasn’t sure if it was for our lovey doveyness, or the fact that they

were single, and Shay wasn’t.

After breakfast Shay gave me a small backpack and told me to change into them. I went back into

the barn and shrugged of all my clothes, looking around to make sure no one was looking. I

unzipped the backpack and dug to the bottom to find my white, lacey bra and panties. I blushed but
