*Skylar's POV*
"Are you sure?" Kayla asks
"No" I say "but talking about it hurts"
I start to walk faster. And faster. And faster. Eventually I'm running. I pass my hotel. I run and stop at the park. I climb onto the playground and hide at the top of the slide.
Why did I think this would all work out? It's not a fairy tale. It's life. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it yet. How could one of the best days of my life be ruined in a seconds time?
My thoughts were interupted by a text. I look and see who from. It's from Kayla.
K: Where are you?!
S: ...the park
K: Why?
S: Why not? :(
K: Because Mitch is going to be here in an hour and we need to fix you.
S: Why bother? All happiness can be ripped from your soul in a matter of seconds. :(
K: Yeah Yeah darkness or whatever. I'm on my way
I close my phone and sit there. I'm lost in my thoughts when I hear footsteps. "Kaylaaaaaaa" I moan and hear a laugh. I look up. Preston.
"What do you want?" I ask with sass.
He looks confused "What?"
"You know what" I snap
"No I don't... What did I do?" He asks
I look at him "Oh I don't know! It seems to me that it may hurt someones feelings if you play a game, acting that you like someone then turn around and go to Starbucks with someone completely different! It maybe different in Texas but in the rest of the world it is very frowned upon!" I scream and go down the slide.
I start to walk away until I'm turned around.
"The girl that I was in Starbucks with was Keilees friend. I was there with her and Keilee bc my mom told me not to let Keilee out without an adult." He said holding onto my hands
I look down at my feet. I feel so dumb... I should've asked before I assumed. I feel Preston lift my head up to look at him. "I-im sorry for accusing you I just-" I was cut off by Preston kissing me. HES. KISSING. ME. Oh my god! Oh crap! Kiss back before he thinks you don't like him you idiot!!!!
We pull away and look at each other. "Don't be sorry" he said "People only fight for what they care about"
