Chapter 28

Maria POV
"I was speechless and had no idea what to do anymore. I made my way past him as he grabbed my arm.

'Where the hell are you going? He whispered

"Grayson just leave me alone" I begged

"You left and I never even got the chance to say goodbye? I called you the day you had left but you never answered and I'm just suppose to be okay with it? Grayson complained

I sighed "look Grayson, I'm sorry but now is not a good time" I tell him

"Yo Gray, wanna go-" Ethan says until he got cut off by noticing me.

"Maria? He asked with shock

He got closer to me I couldn't even believe it right now.

"What? When? How? Did you get here? He asked

'Is could ask you the same about Heather" I argued

He sighed "I may have moved on Maria, but I couldn't let you moving away keep hurting me" Ethan explained

"I must go" I said to both of them

'How long are you staying here? Ethan asked

"Why does it matter you won't being seeing me? I complained

"Oh, but I will! Grayson shouted

"A week and then I'm going back" I replied

I turned around until someone touched my shoulder.

"Maria" Ethan whispered

Just listening to his voice kills me inside.

"I'm sorry" he whispered

I turned around and looked into his brown eyes.

"Theirs no point in apologizing Ethan no point" I explain

With that said I walked away from that party. I hope Spencer doesn't get mad at me she had no idea That Ethan or Grayson were gonna be here? Or maybe she did and decided to set me up or something? I thought

"Maria, your a strong girl you've always been strong all those years that I've hurt you" Grayson tells me

"Please stay in New Jersey it's your home where you belong? Grayson tried to convince me

"I don't know Gray" I replied

I sat down on the bench as he sat next me. I felt like crying I just felt stupid for even coming to the party in the first place.

"Hey, why are you crying I'm sorry" Grayson says

"It's not you" I mumbled

"It's this about Ethan? He asks

I nodded as I kept crying Grayson wiped my tears away and hugged me I felt him kiss my head aswell.

"It's know it's hard right now to run into someone you really loved but you gave him up for something more important I could see but the way you left to Canada just shattered me" Grayson explains

"I'm sorry" I replied

"Just take in mind and think about staying here" Grayson tells me

I nodded as we get off the bench.

"Would you like me to take you somewhere? He asked

I thought about it for a moment and realized I didn't want to see Ethan again or even Spencer so why not?

"Starbucks? I suggested

"Starbucks girl" Graydon chuckled

I playfully hit him in the arm as we walked to Starbucks which wasn't really far. We walked inside and sat down at a table for two.

I got a strawberries and creme Frappuccino as Grayson got a S'more's Frappuccino.

A few minutes later the lady came back with our drinks. As I took a sip of mine.

"By the way you look really pretty Maria" Grayson Compliments

"Are you kidding me my makeup is smeared From crying" I complain

"Still cute tho" he says

I blushed as we talked a bit more. It has come to me that maybe I should stay I could live an apartment if I wanted too.

We finished our Drinks as I pulled out my wallet.

"What are you doing? Grayson asked

"Uh, paying duh! I explained

"Your not paying I am" Grayson says

"But! I complained

"No buts" Grayson says paying

I rolled my eyes at him as we left.

"So I'm gonna stay" I tell him

He had the biggest smile on his face when I said that and attacked me with a hug.

My phone chimed as I looked to see missed calls and texts messages from Spencer ugh. We should really back.
