Hello dear readers,

Welcome back to another episode of Voices Unveiled, it's me Nehad_forever back with another interview.

We have  LyseaTales with us today, welcome to the interview!

Without any more late, let's get into the interview!

1) May we know a few words about yourself?

I am an optimist, an avid reader and a grammar nazi when it comes to writing.

2) That's cool! When did you start writing either on this platform or the normal
way?

I started writing two months prior to joining Wattpad, somewhere around mid September last year and realized that it was quite a pleasure to jot down words and make up different scenarios. So, that at last led me to sharing my work on the platform.

3) What is your motivation to write?

I've always enjoyed literature and writing essays. And reading a lot did do some help. There's not much I need for motivation. Once I start jotting down the words on paper, it's as if I can't stop and yeah, that pretty much is the whole deal.

4) How did you feel when you got to know that you were the winner?

To be honest, I did see the announcement but I kind of ignored it due to my absent mindedness. Later on, while talking to one of my friends, she brought up the topic and I had to check the winners' list all over again. What I was feeling was a mix of shock and excitement. But everything aside, if anything, I felt way more motivated to
keep writing.

5) Glad that the awards motivated you. Congrats for your win btw! Did you ever face criticism? If yes, how did you overcome it?

Thank you! And uh yes. I did face criticism. But moreover, I took it in positive way.

Most of them were constructive so they did help me a lot but the ones that were not so supportive, I took it in consideration and saw it all as a way to improve my writing skills.

6) That's nice to hear! When did you come across this genre or fanfiction
category?

I started with mostly mafia based or romance stories. But reading through Wattpad and other sources, I found science fiction to be one of the most intriguing genres.

And since we are well aware of the developing technology, I saw that as an
opportunity to get a ton of undiscoverable devices to life and just went with the flow.

7) That's interesting! What is your opinion about our awards and how we hosted them?

The Teenfix awards were quite consistent and very well organized. I didn't have to wait ages for a reply of clarification or be it the results. That was impressive and much appreciated.

8) I'm glad to hear that and I'm sure the hosts will be too. How do you handle writer's block?

The best way to handle writer's block is to write the chapters in the traditional form of writing, that is, on paper. It works as a charm everytime. Secondly, there are a few worksheets available online that have helped me get through plot holes causing writer's block.

9) That's some good advice! Do you plan on taking writing as a profession? If yes, what are your plans for it?

Yes, I do plan on taking writing as a profession in the future. I plan on securing a creative writing degree later on and probably hire an agent in order to work more on my upcoming books.

10) Good luck for your future stories! What was your response when you first published this book?

All the responses I had received were very positive. I was surprised at first that Subliminal Riots was receiving so much of attention and positive comments since it was my first time writing in this genre. But overall, I was ecstatic and kept writing more not only for myself but also the readers.

11) As a writer, what are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

As a writer, I very much concentrate on the grammar. And that has to be my biggest strength. Or probably taking negative comments in the most constructive way possible. As for weakness, I'm a sucker for happy endings which don't always work
as a plus point. I'm working on it, hoping that it'd help.

12) Is there any advice you would like to give teenagers out there?

Being a teenager myself, I'd say that stop stressing yourself. Especially when it
comes to writing. It is all in your imagination. And as long as you are freely expressing yourself, you are a writer. Because being a writer refers to the courage of freely expressing your words. So, believe in yourself and trust me, you will do it.

13) That is so true! A few words about our community.

This was actually my first time participating in a contest held by the TeenFix community. And I'm very much pleased by the way they work and handle everything.

Very calm and patient, from what I've noticed so far. And I'd love to be a part of the upcoming contests as well.

14) We're that you had that experience with our community. Would you like to join this community?

I'd love to join this community in the future

15) That's great! How did you feel about giving us this interview? Are there any suggestions you'd like to make?

None at all. I enjoyed every bit of this interview and the interviewer is lovely, calm and co operative, most of all. I very much liked giving Teenfix an interview!

Thank you for taking your time to have this interview with us! We wish you all the luck for your future endeavor and pray and hope you get everything you wish for.

And that's a wrap for today!

We'll meet you in another episode soon!

Till then, Adios
