LOOKING OVER THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE HOT SPRING, Catherine was completely oblivious to the way Paul was looking at her. The man's eyes never left her form as he watched her take in its beauty.
Paul having been the first amongst his generation of shifters to find the place, something he'd done a while before he'd even shifted.
That being said, after seeing the view for so long he'd grown accustomed to its beauty so now that he'd watched Catherine's expression as she took it inc he couldn't help but find something more beautiful.
"I found it a few weeks before I shifted," Paul revealed causing Catherine to glance back at him for a moment, curious as to how he could stumble upon a place like this. "got angry at home one day so I left and just started walking, I don't know how long I was lost but I found this place before I made it back home."
Hearing this Catherine could only chuckle, finding it slightly ironic that his anger could lead him to such a serene place.
"I've never seen anything like this," Catherine couldn't help but gush over the place, still unable to look away from the waterfall and spring. "I don't even know how to describe it."
"It always calmed me down back then," Paul continued as he stepped forward, lightly stepping directly behind Cathy enough to feel her clothes press against his. "like peace on earth."
The young man was unable to resist bringing himself close to her, the feeling of accomplishment running over him as he knew he definitely topped both Jacob and Sam's date.
He created a place only the two of them would know about, an intimate secret place that they could look back on as their heaven.
"I'm glad I can share this place with you," Paul spoke softly as he softly wrapped his arms around her shoulders, the two enjoying the moment for a few calm minutes. "come on."
With that he started to walk her toward the picnic blanket, lightly running his left hand down her right arm until their fingers entangle.
Softly pulling her over to the blanket that sat on a patch of dry grass right before the ground turned into moss and then smooth rock.
The two were sitting lightly on the blanket, Catherine waiting on the side with a soft smile and a racing heart as Paul began to unload the basket.
"I borrowed this from my sister," Paul spoke as he opened the top of the picnic basket, before pulling out multiple plastic tubware and two glass cups. "she used to force my mom on picnics when she was little."
The man had no problem filling Catherine in on his past, wanting his imprint to know more and everything about himself.
And he hoped he could do the same with her.
"I made pork belly and shrimp spring rolls, turkey sliders, strawberries, grapes, raspberries, and some lemonade." The man listed off as he pointed to the ten spring rolls, six sliders, and three separate bowls of fruits along with the pitcher of liquid.
The man having planned and asked Jacob about what Catherine would like to eat, or rather he thought about what Catherine could be having for lunch through their packed mind like and Jacob filled in any blanks or imperfections.
"I can't bake for shit, so I bought a cake from the market," Paul finished as he pulled out a chocolate cake with thick chocolate icing, causing Catherine's eyes to go wide as she loved chocolate specifically. "it sounds like a lot, but I figured you'd have to eat larger amounts of food like we do."
The man guessed as he rubbed the back of his neck, personally, he could finish the entire picnic by himself if someone put on a sports channel, but he didn't want to pig out for his date.
"It all looks delicious, Paul," Catherine couldn't help but compliment as she looked over the food, not knowing what to dig into first in all honesty. "thank you, I didn't know you cooked."
"My mom taught me," The taller young woman stated a chuckle on his breath, their conversation coming natural and soft. "she said if I want to it, I might as well know how to make it my self, she used to make me watch her cook anytime I wanted something specific for dinner."
Hearing his words, Catherine couldn't help but laugh too, using her right hand to cover her lips as she did so.
The young woman was growing more and more intrigued by Paul as he let her in on his past and his family.
"She sounds smart." She remarked with a laugh still on her breath, knowing Paul had to get his intelligence from somewhere at the least.
The man became not only a hothead in Catherine's eyes, but she saw other moments with him, his intelligence, and his ability to get her blushing without much effort.
"I think she'd like you," Paul told her surely, their man's eyes seemingly looking through the woman sitting on the blanket before him as if he was having another vision. "I'd have to bring you by on our next date if you'll have one with me."
"I'd be happy to Paul." Catherine couldn't help but agree after a few seconds, a wide grin on her face as she giggled happy to meet his family.
"So tell me about yourself," Paul insisted as he cracked open the tuberware with the spring rolls, a soft grin on his face as he leaned against his left arm. "something I haven't gotten a chance to know yet?"
Taking a moment to think about the question being posed to her, Catherine took a breath not knowing exactly where to start.
Other than the beginning.
"Well, I don't know," She started with a future of her eyebrows, the last week she'd been mainly getting to know about them as shifters and how they interacted. "I have eight siblings."
However hearing her words, Paul's eyes went wide which quickly caused Catherine to laugh, the teen always getting that reaction when she mentioned the number of siblings she had.
People in the know momentarily forgot that she was a bunny shifter and those that weren't thinking that her dad must not have been able to get off her mom.
