Guess what?! I just rescued the most friendly dog ever... He was following two guys who said not to call the authorities about it because "he would immediately be euthanized due to being a pit bull" so we drove him down to the humane society.
He lay on my lap most of the time and hugged my leg. His ribs were visible and he was extremely dehydrated...
We kinda sorta named him Bob...
Anyway, when we got to the humane society, the lady said that a guy had called a couple days before and said that he was gonna let his pit bull run free. He had described it just like Bob. It breaks my heart that people just let their dogs run free without food, water, or protection, to fend for themselves until they die, or worse: suffer.
But, about pit bull stereotypes: everyone has the completely wrong idea about pit bulls. They are some of the sweetest, most loving dogs I have ever met, and here is a great example.
Bob deserves a good home with loving owners to take care of him. I pray that he gets that.
