A ride

120 6 1

Seconds that tick by like hours,
And a ride that never stops,
Endless clouds that look like cotton,
And moving hands like clocks.

Strangers sit on every side,
And everything is unfamiliar.
The engine is but a dull roar,
And aimless chatter fills the air.

Food is offered,
And some turn it down.
Drinks are served,
And happily downed.

The flights not over,
Not even close
But you can't wait to land,
And put your toes in the sand.
