The Light

It's just skin,
Who will care about a little nick?
It's just blood,
Who will care about the stardy drip?

It's a choice I choose to make,
Who will care if it hurts a little?
No one cared before,
What's changed now?

Why are the lights so bright,
What's with the beeping?
Where am I
Who's voice is that?

Is that my mother sobbing,
I wonder what's wrong?
My eyes are too heavy to lift,
Maybe it's better if I just drift.

The beeping finally stopped,
Maybe it's all better now.
I hope my mother's okay,
Maybe the light I entered made it better.
