New Beginings (A Joey Graceffa FanFiction)

Chapter #1

I stare into my reflection in the small rear view mirror in my car. Course brown hair, silver eyes, pale face. How is anybody supposed to love this? What am I doing with my life.... I sigh taking out my small line green vlogging camera. Sitting in the target parking lot.... I hear the small beep that comes when I press record.

"Well, first full day in L.A I guess I'll be needing some food." I get out of the car camera still on.

Walking down the isle and pushing a cart one handed is not one of my favorite things to do. "I guess I'll be needing some mil..." I bump into somebody else's cart. Both of us holding cameras. "Sorry, I was talking to myself" I say laughing.

He smiles "No problem, you make videos?"

"Yeah, judging by the camera I'm guessing you do too?"

He nods, "are you new here?"

"Yeah, I moved in to an apartment yesterday, this is my first day, just thought I should get some food, gotta eat yah know." I mentally kick myself for that one, how come I'm so awkward around guys? Oh right, I'm 18 and I've never had a boyfriend.

"So what's your name anyways?" He asks.

"Claire, Claire Carter, and you?"

"I'm Joey Graceffa."

I smile. I know I've heard of him somewhere! But where? who do I watch that knows him?

"Well Claire, a bunch of youtubers are having a party tonight, would you like to come."

"Umm , yeah I would love to..." I reply a little unsure.

"Don't be shy, there are tons of us in L.A you'll fit in just fine."

I nod. "Sure I'll come, can you text me with the details?"

I give him my number, we say our goodbyes and I continue shopping for the rest of my food, failing to notice I forgot to turn off my camera during our entire conversation.

Ding! My phones text tone rings and the details are right there.

Meet me at my apartment and we can head over together.
