Something Strange - One Direction

Chapter Four ~

~~*Liam's POV*~~

"What are you gonna do?" Elyse asked suddenly as I had finally taken in on what the hell was going on with me. I was a freak. I'm not normal. 

"Find out what's going on with the other boys. Tell them too."

"Aren't you going to go and get some DNA taken out of you and investigate what's going on inside of you?" Elyse suggested, questioning my abilities that I had learnt about me. 

"Are you implying that I need help?" I faced her after resting my face in my palms stressfully.

"Liam, you can run the speed of the bloody road runner." Elyse pointed out as it was obvious. She paused and took a breath, "Maybe you do."

"Maybe it isn't as bad as you make it out to be." I shrug.

"Not as bad? Liam, what's wrong with you?" 

"Everything is wrong with me, Elyse. But you know what, there's nothing I can do about it so I'm going to have to deal with it."

"Maybe there is a way you can be fixed." Elyse suggested.

"But maybe there isn't." I shook my head, my whole body facing her now, "Look, you can't tell anyone about this. And I mean nobody. Please."

"I won't," she stuttered. "I promise."

I brought my hands to her face and pressed my lips to her forehead. "Thank you," I whispered.

~~*Louis' POV*~~

Frustratingly, we had been walking for nearly half an hour searching aimlessly for Liam. 

It was like a train form we were walking in. Niall and Ella at the front, constantly eyeing each other and then looking away shyly as the other turned to look, Avalon behind me constantly calling Liam. And then Harry and Zayn behind her, beginning to argue about which direction to go in and what not. I was in the middle of everything it was stressing me out. I could feel my heart beating furiously and my fists clenched every time Harry would say, 'Stop thinking that, Zayn, that's not what you would normally say to me. You're just angry.' because I had some feeling in me that it wasn't right when it went silent and he said that. It was weird. Zayn would question on how he knew and what he was thinking but then I ignored it, trying to block out my surroundings and keep my eyes focused on the roads to find Liam. I guess on the good side, it was good to hear Harry talking again, he was oddly so quiet.

Niall leading the whole group, he turned a corner as Zayn and Harry began to get serious.

"Just take a breath, man. You're stressing." Harry insisted.

"I am trying to find Liam, Harry, I don't know about you." Zayn argued.

"I am, can't you see that? We have maps out on our phones."

"A map isn't going to do jack shit." Zayn rolled his neck. Avalon turned around and scolded Zayn for swearing. Avalon was against swearing and hated every time it slipped out of any of our mouths.

"Just look out and around instead of your phone."

"Your the one who suggested maps." Zayn yelled.

I was on the verge of cracking the shits.

"Well I'm sorry, I thought they'd be helpful."

"Obviously not. We're looking for Liam, not a bloody pizza shop."

"Alright," I turned around, stopping the whole group from walking. "Both of you need to shut the hell up because you are getting on my last nerve. Or you can both go home. Take a pick." I was yelling, feeling my heart swirl and my feet become light.

"Louis, what on earth are you doing?" Ella's eyes grew wide with horror. I wasn't that bad, was I?

"Telling them to shut up or go home." I said.

"Louis, you're in mid-air." Ella said as if it was unbelievable.

"I'm in mid-air? El, don't be ridiculous." I sighed, feeling my feet grow lighter and lighter and my body lifting. I glanced at the ground as she was right, my feet were lifted off the ground.

Avalon's jaw dropped and so did everyone else's. "How are you doing that?!" Avalon gushed, scared.

"I-I don't know." I shrugged, my eyebrows crinkled into a concerned frown.

"You're levitating." Harry said, pushing past Zayn.

He was right, I was floating in mid-air. Wait a minute, I'm floating. I'm floating.

"You're right." I said, waving my arms to lift me higher in the air. My body followed and I went higher. I can fly. "How did this happen?"

"That light." Avalon muttered, dialling Liam's number once again. "We need to find Liam, right away. He could be just like you, Louis."

"Wait a minute, where did Ella go?" Zayn gushed.

"How did you not notice she was gone?" Avalon asked Niall.

"I was too busy staring at Louis flying." Niall said. 

"Now that's two people we have to find." Zayn said.

"Well, sorry, mate. We'll find her." Niall gulped uneasily and nervously.

"Don't start another argument, please. We need to stay calm and look for the both of them. We need to split up though. Niall and Harry, you go that way in search for Ella," Avalon pointed towards her right, "Louis, Zayn and I will go this way to find Liam. Louis, get back on the ground." Avalon pointed towards her left and then set her eyes on me. "People might think something's up, that's all. We all need to keep quiet about what Louis has. Don't let anything out to anyone, okay?" She instructed. We all nodded on her command and turned to our paths. "Call if you need anything. And meet back at home once you've found her." 

I lowered myself back onto the gravel and sighed. I could make that out of something fun. As I alwasy did in bad situations, I didn't know how to deal with really bad things so well. I didn't see this flying thing as something bad though. I thought it was cool.

I followed Zayn and Avalon back down to the path that Avalon instructed us down. I turned and peered back behind me, watching Niall and Harry walk and looking around for Ella. Where had she gone? It's like she vanished. But she wasn't with us, so she wouldn't have what I had.

I can fly. That's the only thought that raced through my mind. I can fly, levitate, float, all those things. 

One question, I wonder if I could fly like Superman.
