~Liah~

"Jesus, fuck off, Caitlin!" I snapped while trying to straighten my hair.

This morning I had woken up less than pleased to find that mother nature had decided to descent apon me and I have really bad cramps plus my mood is bitchier than usual which sucks because I'm spending the day with Carter even though I really don't want to leave my bed today.

"Don't get snappy with me just because you're all hormonal and shit," She muttered, grabbing the face cream she needed before walking out of my bathroom.

"Fuck you mother nature and your stupid period cramps too," I muttered to myself, finishing up my straightening and then doing my make-up.

"Liah, Carter's here!" I heard Heather call from the living room.

Putting whatever I needed into my handbag, I put on my beanie before closing my bedroom door and going into the living room.

"Hey, baby," He said with a grin.

"Hey," I said, putting on a weak smile.

"You ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah," I nodded. After saying goodbye to the girls, we headed out.

"So, I was thinking we could go to the coffee shop of seventh avenue for breakfast and then head to the carnival," He said as he drove.

"Oh, yeah, that sounds great," I said, even though I really wasn't in the mood. Look, I love the carnival but with these cramps, I'm really not in the mood.

I couldn't help but feel a little at ease as Carter but his hand on my thigh, something he had gotten used to doing in the past week.

When we had arrived at the coffee shop, we found a table in the corner and then ordered before sparking up conversation.

"Babe, you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said with a small smile.

"You sure? You look kinda off," He observed.

"Carter, I'm fine," I said with a small laugh, causing him to smile.

"Okay yeah, if you say so," He said, putting his hand over mine.

While we continued to make conversation, I couldn't help but every so often get lost in his eyes.

When our breakfast had arrived, I was less than pleased to see that my toast was seeded bread instead of the rye I had asked for.

"Liah, what's wrong?" Carter asked, realising that I had been looking down at my plate with a frown.

"I asked for rye," I said, feeling the tears start to well up in my eyes.

"Well what's wrong with that kind?" He asked, pointing at my plate.

"Its not rye," I said, feeling the tears start to fall.

"Babe, relax. It's just bread," He said, probably wondering why I was crying.

"Ugh, you're right," I said with a sigh. "I'm gonna go sort myself out. I'll be back in a few," I said, getting up and walking to the rest rooms in the shop.

After wiping away the tears and re-applying my mascara and eyeliner, I headed back to join Carter just as he had finished talking to someone on the phone.

"You good?" He asked as I sat down.

"Yeah, I'm good," I said with a small smile.

"You know, babe, I was thinking, we don't have to go to the carnival. I was thinking maybe we could just head back to my place and just watch a few movies or something," He said.

"That sounds great, actually," I said, mentally feeling relieved that I didn't have to be walking around for almost the whole day.

After breakfast, we headed back to his place, but not before stopping at Walmart.

While Carter went inside to get whatever, I stayed in the car listening to Shawn's album. Closing my eyes, I hummed along to the songs until Carter had returned.

"Carmen told me that you prefer cookie-dough ice-cream when uh, you know, satan's sacrificial waterfall of hormones, um, descends apon you," He said awkwardly.

It took me a few seconds to understand what he had said, and when I did get it, I couldn't have but giggle at his interpretation what periods are.

"She told you correctly," I giggled. That's probably who he was talking to earlier.

When we had arrived at his place, he headed into the kitchen while I went to his room. Quickly I changed into one of his shirts (which was heavily oversized on me, might I add) before getting into his bed and under the covers.

A few minutes later, Carter joined me, bring with him a hot water bottle and ice-cream and two spoons.

"This should help, right?" He asked, putting the bottle on my stomach.

"Yeah, it does," I giggled, finding it cute how he seemed so worried yet so awkward. "You're so cute," I said, kissing his cheek.

"You're cuter," He said before kissing me. I honestly will never get used to this because holy shit, Carter Reynolds is my boyfriend.

And with that, we spent the rest of the day watching movies and me wondering how the fuck I got so lucky to have this boy as my boyfriend.
