Picture of Cassedee

Mason's POV

During class I felt eyes on me. I had a feeling it was Cassedee but I was too scared to turn around and find out.

When the bell rung I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and relaxed my tense shoulders. I already knew Cassedee left seeing as she never hung around after class unless Mrs. Beatron would ask her too and even that was iffy.

I picked up my books and backpack from the ground and waited for Travis so we could walk together to our next class.

"So I was working on my homework last night and..." Zoning out from the conversation, thoughts of Cassedee run through the my head. I don't know why, I never would think this much about her before but all I could think about the way she looked at me and smirked.

We've never talked or even had encounter before. I am positive that she doesn't know who I am.

"Hey, are you okay?" I heard Tavis say while putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Wha- um, yeah, I'm fine." I smiled a little in his direction for reassurance.

"You sure? You don't seem...focus."

" Yeah, I just um- thinking about the test we're having in History."

Travis looked at me a little knowing I was fibbing but let it go as we walked into class and took our seats.

The day went by the same as any other day. I didn't see Cassedee again.

When the final bell rung at the end of the day, I was ready to go home. I walked out the school's door and started my journey to my house, seeing as I didn't have a car and Travis had to stay after for his math club and couldn't give me a ride.

As I was walking I felt the same feeling I did in Chemistry class. The feeling of eyes burning into my skin. Eventually I turned around casting my eyes around until my vision focus on Cassedee and her group of friends hanging out in the parking lot close to their cars and mortor cycles. I looked over at her friends then my eyes landed on her, she still had that smirk she wore in class today and was looking straight at me.

I quickly look forward and acted as if I wasn't staring again, but when I looked back again she was chuckling with her eyes following my movements as I sped up my walking.

On the way home my mind kept on replaying the way her mouth morphed into a smile as she laughed and

wow, it was beautiful.
