"I see it now..." She mumbled to herself, "you're colorless."

"What?"

"Your life....its colorless and you don't even realize it."

"That's not true," I said defensively, my eyebrows furrowing together at her.

"My life has some excitement."

She laughed although i didn't think it was very funny.

"Have you ever ridden on a plane before? Flying thousands of feet in the air, with nothing but a thin floor keeping you from falling?" She asked curiously.

I shook my head to say that I haven't before.

"What's the farthest you've ever been from this place Michael?" She asked softly.

I thought for a moment, not really sure.

"I've been to Fort Wayne" I shrugged.

"That's it? You haven't traveled before?"

"I... Uh.. Yeah? I mean it's a two hour drive and all bu-

"That's not very far Mike," she said sadly.

"Have you ever been to an amusement park?" I shook my head again.

I've always wanted to go on a roller coaster, they look fun.

"Maybe an aquarium?"

"No.... I've never been to a aquarium," I shrugged.

I watched as the beautiful girl in front of me ran a hand through her black hair with frustration although I didn't see the problem.

"It's time you start to live your life in color. No more sitting at home with the lights out, you need to see life in different colors."

"Different colors," I repeated her words.
"I don't understand your meaning of that."

"Your life is boring," she bluntly stated. "It's just... Boring, and colorless, you've never experienced real fun or anything interesting. It's just bland. There's no color. You need to to do stuff and live your life Michael. I want to help you do that. I want you to be a colorful person."

I looked down toward the ground and kicked a small stone with my foot before shifting my gaze back to her brown eyes.

"Then make me colorful."
