||Chapter 12|| Madison||

"Madison." There was a gentle knock on the door.

I rubbed my eyes and sat up immediately.

It was my mom.

"Oh, hey." I got up and grabbed my hairbrush which was lying next to my duffel.

"It's 12 PM. Jade got up really early, she's out with her friend...so..."

"I know. She told me last night." I stretched and looked around, "I'm hungry."

"Breakfast is in the kitchen. Sebastian's omelettes are the best." She said as she walked downstairs.

"Okay...?" I whispered to myself as I went into Jade's bathroom.

Her bathroom was surprisingly neat and tidy, her makeup was stored in those little boxes you get at the container store. The mirror was clear, without water stains. How does she manage to keep everything so clean?

I wet my toothbrush and squeezed on some toothpaste and brushed my teeth. A few minutes later, I was attempting to wing my eyeliner. It took me a few tries and then I got it just the way I wanted. Now the easy part, filling in my eyebrows. I uncapped my eyebrow pen and started to trace my desired shape. After my eyebrows, I curled my lashes and applied lengthening mascara. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror, my hair was wavy and looked perfect as per usual, so I didn't even bother straightening it. I left the bathroom and walked over to my duffel and pulled out a shirt. It was my favorite grey oversized t shirt. I paired it with a pair of black skinny jeans because why not. I stepped into my old beat up pewter sequin Toms and headed downstairs to the kitchen.

"Madison! You're up! Breakfast is in the kitchen." Sebastian called from the living room.

"Morning! And thanks!" I called back as I walked over to the kitchen island and picked up the plate.

I sat down and ate the omelettes that Sebastian made. They were really good, with the right amount of cheese.

I finished the plate and peered into the living room. My mom and Sebastian were cuddling on the sofa. Okay, ew. I decided to go back up to Jade's room.

I sat down on her carpet and did what every teenager would do, check my phone for messages. As usual, I had 3000+ unread messages. I decided to look up that band she liked on Twitter. It led me straight to their official account. I scrolled through their latest tweets:

I followed the band account and then turned off my phone. I reached into my duffel bag and pulled out a book, Vanished Girl. Vasilena forced me to read it because she thought it was a great book. I really wanted to tell her I hated it because, let's face it, Emmy Alliet Donne is the worst person in the world. She's just irrelevant.

After about an hour of reading the damn book, my mom came into the room.

"Hey hon. Sebastian's going to the grocery store and I'm going to take a nap. Just to let you know. Oh! And don't forget to tell Jade." She glanced at me and then left the room.

"Tell Jade what?" I waited for her to come back and answer me. She completely ignored me. Wow, okay, I guess Jade doesn't need to know anything then, I thought angrily as I slammed the book shut and reached for my phone. I tapped on the Twitter icon and scrolled up and down my timeline. There was a new tweet from Across The Avalanche.

I stared at their last retweet. They were obviously talking about me. I rolled my eyes and faved it. A few seconds later, I got a notification saying: Kyle Montgomery just followed you! Oh snap, look what the fave dragged in. I followed him back, and then I followed the rest of the band. I couldn't find drummer boy's girlfriend's Twitter, I just found fan accounts like : @WeLoveJordanAllen. I went through all their tweets and pics and my self esteem dropped low.
Thirty minutes later, I found myself on Tumblr, scrolling through my feed, waiting for Sebastian and Jade to come home.

Anyways, just a heads up, everything will make sense in the end. I'll make sure of it.
