I end up leaving the office around an hour later than usual.

Even with all my cramming, I still don't quite finish my work for the night. It's not too big an issue though. It's not an urgent case, just something that I'd been putting off for too long.

That wasn't the real reason I stayed behind late though. I couldn't help myself, I'd gone through the case file for Gregory Darby hoping to shed more light on why I chose him.

Unfortunately, I didn't find out anything more than what Peter had told me. It was in all honesty a waste of my time when I could have already been home.

Sighing in defeat I pull out my phone to check the time and see that Alex has been messaging me.

-Hey gorgeous girl, when will you be home?
-6.21pm

-Do you think you will be back in time for dinner? It will be ready at 7.
-6.36pm

It's now 6.41pm so I should be back in time.

As I head home, I text back to tell him I'll be back in 20 minutes and to keep dinner warm for me.

I walk in the door about 15 minutes later.

I'm instantly engulfed in the aromas of his signature spaghetti bolognese. I melt a little. His bolognese is one of my favourite dishes, he is an incredible cook.

I however, can only make a few easy meals so I leave the cooking to him.

I stand there in the entry way, just taking in the scent around me with closed eyes when he shocks me out of my reverie.

"You get so lost in your own little world when it comes to food don't you, babe?" He says with a knowing smirk on his handsome face.

I open my eyes instantly. I give myself a moment to take in all that he represents to me, home, happiness, comfort, support and love.

I can't help but wonder how he would react if he knew what I've done. What would he think of me? I swallow down a lump of bile at the possibilities.

No, I can't think of that.

I shake my head to bring myself back to the current moment.

"It's just you that makes me lose it completely, standing there with the wooden spoon in your hand, it makes me think I might get punished for being home late." I nibble at my lower lip to show him just where my mind is at the moment.

He curses inwardly.

"Babe." He groans.
"Not right now, please. I promise I'll do everything you want me to do to you later. I've just spent a couple of hours making us a nice dinner to sit down to together, I'd hate for it to have to be reheated."

I can happily agree to that. Great food that leads to even greater sex. No complaints from this woman about that arrangement.

"Ok, done deal. I'll just put my things down and change my clothes, give me two minutes." I say.

I race off with my bag to the bedroom and change into my loose and partially see-through shirt that sits at the top of my thighs. What? Gotta keep them wanting more!

Plus with this on I can tease him without him seeing my fading bruises.

I walk back to the kitchen and find him dishing up. He has his back to me, in a tight fitting shirt and sweat pants. Yum. He's one of those guys that looks delicious in anything he wears.
