Louis
"She's on her way, mate."
I went back to the front of the mirror, checking my overall apperance if I looked okay. I turned back to Harry. "Do I look okay?"
That made him laugh. "You look fine, lad. Stop being like Zayn."
"I can't help it." After all, who could if you were about to go out with the girl you really, really like?
Okay, it's not like I haven't gone out with her before. However, those times were when we went out to hang out or shop together. Today was different; we were going out on a date.
Knock knock knock.
My body stiffened. She's the only one who knocks on our door three times. My heart knew it was her behind that door, and my whole system began to go wild. "Get it," I instructed Harry as I was unable to move.
Harry shook his head at me but went to open the door anyway. Once again, I stepped in front of the mirror to pretend I was fixing myself instead of standing in the middle of the room awkwardly in anticipation of her.
"Harry!" Her voice rang all over the house, sending chills down my spine. We haven't seen each other in three months, and I really missed every little thing about her.
I hear rhythmic footsteps get closer, and I did more to look like I was focused on fixing my hair. "Louis?"
As I turned my head to her, I almost let my jaw drop. It's been three months; her dark brown hair was now longer and straight - they used to be curly. Her skin was a little tanned compared to before, but it suit her perfectly. And how could I forget the one thing that made me fall in love with her: her dimples. The two dimples on both of her cheeks, sinking in at the same time everytime she smiled. Oh, how I love those dimples, and the way I make them appear.
"Lauren!" I held my arms out to her, and she enveloped my body in hers. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, Lou." Her voice was muffled in my chest.
Harry cleared his throat, making the two of us end our hugging and focus our attention to him. "I'll see you later, guys. I've got something to do."
I smiled at him, knowing he didn't really have anything to do but drive around in his car while Lauren and I went out. "I've got Lou all to myself, then?" Lauren's voice perked up.
Harry nodded, waved goodbye, then left. "I'll leave the door open!" He hollered at the two of us as he stepped out of the house.
"Let's go?" I held my hand out for her to hold, and she giggled as she took it.
"Let's go."
**
"So Larry was real?"
"Shh!" I hissed at her, covering her mouth and looking around if anyone heard what she just said. "That's classified information!"
Lauren giggled, her dimples becoming more prominent. She took a hold of my hand, sending trickles of electricity on the skin beneath hers. "Okay, I'm sorry. But seriously?"
I nodded sheepishly, taking one of the final bites of my steak. "It ended just a few months ago. But Harry and I manage to keep our being best friends."
"Well, that's amazing." Her face showed that her statement was true. "But why'd you have to - well - end it?"
I took another cautious look around, even though there would be no harm if anyone heard me now. "I admitted to him that I felt like I was into someone else."
Lauren made a fake horrified face. "Louis, how could you?"
"Shut up," I said as I slapped her arm a little. "At least I didn't cheat on him."
"Fair point." Lauren then slumped her back in her seat and crossed her arms. "And you're not even planning on telling me who the new guy is."
"Girl, actually." This time, Lauren's face was filled with true shock. I mean, knowing about Larry might have confirmed her teasing on me that I was gay, and she probably held on to that fact. I felt a lump in my throat begin to form. "And she's sitting right in front of me."
Lauren's eyes widened, and it was evident that she was trying hard not to let her jaw drop. The two of us were silent for a moment, but to me it felt like eternity. Her brown eyes drowned me completely. "Wh-what?" Her voice trembled.
"Did I say something wrong?" I asked her softly. She was still frozen in her surprised state as I spoke to her. "Lauren?"
She shook her head, her eyes still fixed on me. "Are you serious?" A tinge of pink came to her cheeks, her dimples being their focal point.
I nodded. "Of course I am."
Her face twisted to a confused one. "Why?"
"Why not?" I raised my eyebrows three times at her, making her giggle once again. The color on her cheeks darkened and now pretty much covered more of her cheeks than it did earlier.
"Huh," she muttered to herself. "Guess this is our first date, then?"
I looked down on my feet, feeling a little shy but - at the same time - confident. It was a pretty hard feeling to explain, but so was it whenever I was with Lauren. It was always butterflies in my stomach, escaping to flutter its wings absolutely at every single inch of my body. My eyes found her face again, and she smiled at me. Lauren's smile was genuine; it was something I've never seen on her before. Her dimples bore deeper into her cheeks, making her whole face light up even more.
"Yes, yes it is."

I'm sorry, I'm not completely inspired right now, but I hope you like this anyway!
