Chapter 3: Night out

I was putting on some ruby red lip stick, “Ok done,” I said. I walked to the mirror my hair fell in curls perfectly on my shoulders. I looked at my short red one shouldered cocktail dress. My black pumps pulled the whole outfit together, but something was missing. I looked all over my room there you are I grabbed the small black clutch and put it around my shoulder. One last I am smoking hot I smiled at myself, those boys better be ready to go dancing. I opened my door and yelled out “Kayden, Derek hurry up or were going to be late” I heard silence, “Don’t make me come to our rooms boys.” I heard nothing. I stomped to Kayden’s room I had told them 10:30 and it was 11. I knocked on the door and I heard stumbling, “I am coming in please be dressed.” I opened the door Kayden was throwing on a shirt quickly. He smiled, “Sorry lost track of time.”  I stormed off towards Derek’s room and knocked on the door, “Better be dressed in there.” I opened the door Derek started yelling, “Wait in not dressed.” I was already inside. I screamed and turned around walking straight into Kayden. I looked at him, “I am…. Yeah I’ll be downstairs.” I blushed and pushed under Kayden’s arm. I could hear them laugh as I walked away. I went and sat on the couch. A few minutes later I heard the boys walking down stairs. “Finally I thought you girls would never be ready.” They both death stared at me but I couldn’t help laughing. I got up and looked at them Derek started to head towards the garage, “Where are you going.” He turned and looked at me, “I don’t think you are going to be walked to town.” A devilish smile spread across my face. I walked to the front door and opened it, “Lady’s first.” I gestured my hand for them to walk out.  They walked out laughing, but stopped when they say the black limo. They were just staring at it. I laughed I grabbed both their arms and walked down the steps. The driver got out and opened the door for us. Kayden gestured for me to go in first, “Being a gentleman. Finally.” I whispered. We all got in.  One of my favorite songs came on so I started to sing with it. I was rocking out and when the song ended and I looked at the boys they were staring at me. Kayden turned toward me, “I never knew you had that good of a voice.” I blushed bright red, “I don’t like to sing infront of people I get very nerves.” The car stopped the driver got out and opened the door. The two bewildered boys got out first. Kayden reached his hand out to me. I took, and once I put both feet on the ground I could feel the bass from the club. The boys looked at me and smiled. The driver got back in and drove off. I knew he would be back by twelve so I started to walk to the door of the club. I looked at the guy holding the clip board, “Chloe Jackson and friends.” He looked me up and down, “I.D miss.” I pulled out my wallet and he looked at my picture. He handed it back and lifted the velvet rope.  Kayden grabbed my hand and lead me to the bar. I turned toward Derek, “Do you see that blond girl in the blue silver dress dancing all alone. Go dance with her.” He smiled wide and walked away. I turned to Kayden he had this look on his face like “what was that about”. I couldn’t help but smiled. I turned to the bartender, “Excuse me can I have two shots please.” The man turned to me and winked, “Coming right up pretty lady.”  Kayden gave a small growl as the bar tendered turned to get our shots. I grabbed Kayden’s hand. His eyes locked into mine and he calmed down.  The bar tender came back and placed the shots down, “Keep a bill coming.” He saw me curled up into Kayden and stormed off. I couldn’t help but giggle at him. I looked up at Kayden and grabbed the shot glass. He leaned down, “One, two, three.” We both downed the shot. I grabbed Kayden’s hand and walked him out onto the floor. I looked over at my friend Shelby and Derek dancing she looked over at me and winked. I watched as she grabbed Derek’s hand and pulled him toward me and Kayden. She hugged me tight whispering in my ear, “You know you’re the best’s friend right.” I smiled, “I know.” She let go and Derek shot me a weird glance. I turned to Kayden, “This is my best friend Shelby. Shelby this is Kayden he’s off limits.” I winked at her. “Now go dance with him.” I saw her pull Derek off to get drinks. I grabbed Kayden, “Finally we can dance.” I wrapped my hands around his neck and pulled him close he gently wrapped his arms around my hip. We swayed as one to the beat of the bass. I rested my head on his shoulder. We had been dancing for at least an hour. I pulled away, “Let’s get some drinks.” I noticed Shelby and Derek sitting at a table for four. I started to walk away I felt Kayden take my hand and lead me to the table. Shelby smiled big as we walked over. She looked over at the bar tender and held a four on her fingers. All four of us grabbed the shots and downed them. Shelby turned to me and grabbed my hand, “Boys we are going to the ladies room.” She winked at Derek and gave him a kiss on the check. Before Kayden could pull me away he grabbed me and kissed my check. Shelby pulled me to the bathroom to of course to check her make-up. “So you and Kayden,” I blushed, “So you and Derek.” That shut her up so quickly. She smiled at me, “I really like Derek but I don’t know if he likes me back.” She had a pouty look on her face as if someone took away her last piece of candy. I held out my arms she walked in for a hug, “If that boy doesn’t already want to marry you then he can’t see true beauty.” She pulled away and then hugged me again, “Thank you Chloe.” I grabbed her hand, “Come on there are two hot boys waiting for us.” We laughed on the way back to the table. I stopped abruptly as I looked up and say a beach blond tramp sitting on Kayden’s lap. The inner me was screaming that he was mine not hers. I stomped over to the girl and tamped her on the shoulder. She turned to look at me, “Excuse me I am busy.” I gave a small chuckle, “Excuse me but that’s my boyfriend’s lap your sitting on.” She got leaned down and kissed him. He tried to push her away but her grip was strong. She let him go and my body lit on fire. She got off his lap and walked over to me. She hit me in the face, Kayden jumped up. I looked her in the eye I hit her back. She didn’t even stumble. I saw her eyes flash gold. She leaped at me and I was ready for her. She had me on my back but Kayden grabbed her off me. I got up and stormed off. The cold night air hit me like an ice burg to the face. I started to walk down the street anger ran through my body.  Someone grabbed me and I swung my fist around and I saw a tall body fall down. I looked at the body Shelby laid on the floor. Derek walked out quickly followed by Kayden. Derek ran to me I looked at Kayden, “I … I…. I …” I turned and ran. Tears streamed down my face. What had I done I attacked my best friend. I stopped and sat down on the ground and cried. I felt two arms wrap around me. I looked to see Kayden holding me. I stood up and I tried to push him away but his grip was tight. I turned and cried on his shoulder.  “What have I done? Is she ok?” He spoke gently, “She is fine. Derek is taking care of her.” I kept crying for a few more minutes. Kayden picked me up and walked me back to the limo. When I got it I saw Derek holding Shelby. She looked at me and I broke out crying, “I am sorry.” I blubbered between sobs. “I am fine Chloe nothing to be sorry for I did come up behind you.” The driver headed back to the house. I fell asleep in the car but somehow I ended up in PJ’s. I woke up and walked down the hall to Kayden’s room. I opened the door and Kayden sat up. “I can’t sleep can I snuggle with you?” He flipped the covers up and patted the bed. I walked over and sat down. I curled up into him and I heard him rumple with excitement.
