The sky today is blue,
And I thought I would die without you,
So I held my breath,
Tried to recollect things before my death,
Things like the song that we sang together,
And us trying to read the weather.
The times that you had helped me,
And filled me with glee,
Or when you would tease me casually,
About my accent heavy.
Or when you would hold my hand,
And would say, "you don't understand",
Or when your smile contagious spread,
Or when you would offer me your buttered bread.
I wished not to die too soon,
Because you are a boon.
I don't have you today as mine,
But if I get you tomorrow, I'm fine.
Because the sky today is blue,
And nothing else can replace you.
