"I don't want you to leave," Alex mumbled, pulling herself closer to Brian. They were in their motel back in LA. Today is the day that everything is going to go down. Alex will be headed to her flight to go be with Jack in a few hours. She wasn't ready to leave Brian, but she couldn't wait to see Jack. She misses him so much. Brian wrapped his arms around Alex's waist and planted a long kiss on her forehead.

"I know baby, I know." Brian replied quietly with a sigh. He traced small circles on the exposed skin of Alex's back. "But I'm coming back to you, remember?" He added. Alex knew he was trying to make her feel better but it wasn't really helping. She wouldn't feel better until he was safe with her and Jack when this is all over.

"You better." Alex said, her words muffled as she snuggled closer to him, somehow not feeling close enough even though they were skin to skin. She didn't want to let him go. Something about this job felt different. Alex didn't know why, but she knew she didn't like it. If she let him go, he might never come back to her.

"You should get ready for your flight. You don't want to be late." Brian told Alex. She sighed, knowing he was right. She let go of him and sat up on the bed. She took the blankets off her body and got the chills as the cold air of the motel room hit her naked body. Alex quickly grabbed some undergarments and put them on. Brian put his hands behind his head and watched Alex, a small smile on his face. Alex saw one of Brian's shirts hanging out of his suitcase. She went over to it and grabbed it, beginning to put it on.

"You weren't planning on wearing this were you?" Alex asked as she slipped her arms through the sleeves.

"No." Brian answered, his eyes wandering Alex's body and face. He loved everything about her. Every curve, every inch of her body, and every part of her personality. He found himself questioning how he got so lucky. It was now that Brian realized he needed to do everything in his power to come home to his beautiful girlfriend, son, and second baby on the way.

"Good 'cause I'm wearing it." Alex said with a smile. She started to button up the shirt.

"It looks better on you anyway." Brian said with a shrug, not taking his eyes off Alex until she walked away to grab some pants.

"That's debatable." Alex replied. All Brian wanted to do was grab Alex, bring her back to bed and kiss her over and over again. He knew he couldn't though. As much as Brian didn't want to admit it, this job scared him. He has so much to lose. He looked over at the clock on the wall. Dow's coming over to meet Brian in twenty minutes. That means Brian should probably get out of bed and put some clothes on then. He took the blankets off his body and changed into his boxers, a pair of jeans and a plain blue t-shirt. By the time Brian had finished getting dressed, Alex walked out of the bathroom fully dressed with a bit of makeup on.

"You have everything packed and ready to go?" Brian asked, glancing at the clock one more time before looking back at the beautiful girl standing in front of him.

"Yeah," Alex nodded, "I'm all ready." Alex said. She had a knot in her stomach. Her anxiety was at an all time high. She tried to focus on the fact that she was going to be able to see Jack and Mia again to drown out her worries.

"Okay. You should probably get going then. You don't wanna be late. Plus Dom will be here soon." Brian told Alex. She nodded. She had to tell herself not to cry and that everything would be okay. She could feel the lump in her throat rise as she turned and grabbed her luggage. "Here, let me take that." Brian said. Alex declined the offer but Brian grabbed the luggage and brought it out to the car anyway. Alex followed him outside. Brian closed the trunk and faced her. He pulled her into a tight hug.

"I love you so much Alexandria. I hope you know that." Brian said to her. In the distance, they could hear a loud car. They both knew it was Dom coming to pick Brian up. Brian didn't want to let Alex go. Who knows when the next time they'll see each other? Don't think like that, Brian thought.

"I know baby. I love you so much too." Alex replied, resting her head against his chest. There wasn't a doubt that Brian loved Alex, and the feeling was mutual. Alex wouldn't want to spend her life with anyone else. She closed her eyes and enjoyed their embrace. The loud car had pulled up to the motel, snapping Alex back to reality. She sighed, then looked up at Brian. She cupped his face and kissed him passionately. He pulled her close to his body. Eventually, he pulled away, knowing Dom was waiting and Alex had a flight to catch.

"Okay-" Alex cut Brian off before he could say anything else.

"No, please don't say goodbye. This isn't goodbye. You're coming back to be, remember?" Alex said quickly, her voice cracking as a tear slid down her cheek. Brian felt his stomach churn at the sight of Alex crying. He blinked a few times to prevent tears from falling from his own eyes. He swallowed hard and cleared his throat.

"I'm coming back to you, baby. Make sure you give Jack a kiss for me, okay?" Brian told her, trying his best to sound normal even though he felt like crying. He knew if he started crying then she would cry harder and they would both be crying messes. He didn't want to make her feel worse.

"Okay." Alex said, nodding. She sniffled. "I love you Brian." She grabbed the keys to the car out of her pocket.

"I love you too Alex. Drive safe, text me when you get on the plane and when you land. I'll do my best to keep you updated too." Brian said. Alex nodded again and offered a sad smile. She waved at Dom, who was still sitting in his car waiting for Brian. Alex got in the car and drove off. Brian stood there for a moment with his hands in his pockets, watching the car slowly disappear from his eye sight as it drove farther and farther away.

a/n: it's getting harder and harder for me to try and write this story as it nears the end. there's a few things I'm unsure of, one of which is the beach scene at the end. I really want to include it because of obvious reasons, but I'm not sure how to. it's really hard for me to watch the end of Furious 7 so it's honestly been something I've been dreading to do so bare with me please. comment your thoughts on the chapter & don't forget to vote!
