Kella's Sick Book

"It's blank."
"What do you mean?"
"No writing on the page."
"Impossible," Momoka protested. "Turn the page."
Kella obeyed her sister. Plain paper leaves stared back at her.
"The book must be defective," insisted Momoka. "No such thing as a blank book."
"I know," Kella whimpered. "But it had words yesterday."
Momoka soothed her, then asked,"Just yesterday?"
Kella sobbed as she admitted, "The day before."
"Oh, then your book is just sick. It needs some sunlight and it needs to be read."
"Can we take it to the book doctor?"
"Yes, Kella. Let's take your book to the librarian."
