SANITY’S EDGE:

I stand alone atop sanity’s edge,

Emotions veering from hope to dread,

Sometimes they call, voices soft and measured,

Alas, my worldly link has long been severed.

The world I see across the great divide,

Beseeches me to come to its side,

The bridge I used has long since gone,

I can not move, I stand alone.
