I love this poem so much, it came to me out of the blue and i have adored it eversince;-)

REDEMPTION:

Like pearls the teardrops drifted down,

Encased in fear, upon a frown,

An angel’s wing is tarnished gold,

The sirens song remains untold.

Effervescent dreams ride the sable night,

They glow like beacons of endless light,

These glittering lights she see’s aglow,

Taunt her with their sensuous glow.

They circle round, just out of reach,

To gaze at them is painful still,

But to let go, an impossible feat,

Never accomplished because of greed.

With a blinded soul and hopeful heart,

She steps aboard Noah’s ark,

To a new world they will but ride,

A new beginning in her sights.

Her ship of dreams will buck and sway,

But she will hold fast, her nerves wont fray,

Until that day when angels sing,

Redemption is what they will bring.
