Vannis phone rings. She looks at the screen, Stormie is showing as the caller ID. Her breath catches. Her heart starts beating faster as she swipes the green button
'S-Stormie?' Vanni asks shakily
'Vanni, were coming to get you were getting In N Out for Riker and Rydel Rydel called a bit ago, Riker is awake!' Stormie says all at once
Vanni shakes her head 'What? Slow down'
Stormie exhales 'Rydel called me a little bit ago to tell us Riker has woke up. Were getting In N Out and picking you up' she says, slowly this time
Savannah sinks to her knees "thank god!"
'Savannah? Honey you still there?' a voice asks
She picks her head up 'Oh yeah I am. Ill be waiting for you' Vanni says, getting up off the floor
'Okay, about fifteen minutes!' Stormie says quickly before hanging up
Savannah tosses her phone onto her bed and walks to her closet. Off the top shelf, she slides down one of her bigger bags to take to the hospital with her. She scans her closet for things she'll need if she stays the night with Riker, nothing here
She grabs a change of clothes, her hairbrush and toothbrush, phone charger, her laptop plus its charger,and a pillow. Vanni stuffs them into the bag, the two chargers rolled up on top
Out of the corner of her eye, she shes a picture frame on her dresser; she smiles walking closer. Savannah picks it up, admiring the smiling faces. Its a picture Stormie had taken of her and Riker while in Europe (I cant remember where they were at, the picture Im talking about is the cover for this chapter ^_^)
Savannah unzips her duffel bag and gently lays the frame on top of the cords. She zips it back up, grabs her sandals, and heads for the front door
She steps out onto the porch and locks the door behind her. A white van pulls into the driveway. The door slides open, revealing Ryland. Vanni hops into the back seat and Rocky steps on the gas

Rocky parks in front of the EMERGENCY doors; Vani grabs her bag, slinging the handle over her shoulder, and gets out. Her hands shake and shes starts to hyperventalate
'calm down girl, youre here for a good reason' she whispers to her self
Savannah leads everyone to the front desk. She takes a deep breath 'Which room is Riker and Rydel Lynch staying in?
The head nurse looks at Vanni over her glasses 'Your relationship to them? I can only let family see those two' she glances at her computer screen 'And its after visiting hours'
'Im his girlfriend, please, you gotta let me see him' Savannah pleads
The nurse with the grey hair shakes her head 'Im sorry, I cant approve that'
Stormie steps forward, slightly banging her fists on the counter 'Listen to me-' she looks at her name tag '-Wanda, let us in to see my children right now, or Ill sue this hospital for everything its worth. After I talk to your advisor, and tell him you denied us of seeing them during hours'
Vanni, Rocky, Ross, Ryland, Elington, and Mark stare at Stormie; shocked at what she just said
'...Room 17B. I never saw any of you' Wanda spits out
Stormie nods 'Thank you, have a wonderful night!'
The kids start laughing, but muffle it. It is after hours after all; theyre not suppose to be roaming these halls. They cram into the elevator, ignore the shitty music, and ride up in silence. When the doors ding and separate, Vanni hurries out
Savannah jogs down the hall, stops shortly in front of their room, then pushes open the door. Two blonde heads pop up
'Vanni!' Rydel squeals
Although Savannah misses her friend like crazy, she misses Riker a heck of a lot more. Shes at his side in seconds, bending over and cupping his face
'Baby, oh my god. I love you' Vanni says just before she kisses Riker
Riker hestitantly kisses back; Savannah senses something is up 'Rike, whats wrong? Babe?'
Riker sighs 'I dont remember you Sa-Vanni..' a tear falls from the corner of his eye
'P-please, tell me youre joking' Vanni cries
'I wish I was..' Riker whispers
He slides over and picks Savannah up by her armpits. She slides her feet under the blanket
'What are you doing Riker?' she questions
He snakes his arm around her waist "Im gonna fall in love with you all over again'
Vanni puts her head on his shoulder
'Thats a promise' Riker whispers, kissing her forehead
