Chapter 20: I'm... Fine?

A/N: I wrote this is an edited chapter, I wrote it months ago, when I was depressed, because of an asshole. I edit it, to fit with the timeline & characters and don't involve you in my troubles. Then why I published it? Because... the damn feels! I even cried re-writing this. But, I'm better now, I even laugh about, but being honest, it still kinda hurts, sometimes...

Zane's P.O.V.

Paty's been acting weird, she is been quiet and barely smiling. In a few words, her opposite. And every time we ask her, she avoids the question, or simply ignores it. Or if we are lucky, her only answer is: "I'm fine". This has been going for 3 weeks... We haven't seen her laugh, not even smile. She seems ABSOLUTELY unhappy. We were on our room, Nya, Zai and Erika were here too, wondering what was wrong.

- What's bothering her? -Jay asked.

- No idea, I can't get something besides an "I'm fine" -Zai said.

- No clue -I said- but I heard her sobbing last night.

- She's been acting so emo -Erika said-when she is like... crazy, stupid, and smiley puppy.

- I agree with the part of stupid -Nya chuckled.

- I didn't said like that, and you know it (some friends and I call us stupid instead of silly or greet as "What's up bitches?" and since I consider Zai & Erika friends, well you get it...)

- But she IS stupid, a bitch, and if it wasn't because of her powers, she wouldn't be here.

All of us got mad, Paty have become really close to everyone, and not even Kai seemed happy about Nya insulting her.

- COULD YOU GO AND FUCKING HURT SOMEONE ELSE'S FEELINGS?! OH WAIT! YOU ALREADY DID THAT! -Zai snapped.

Jay looked terribly wounded with that.

- Yeah! Stop hurting Paty and Jay's feelings! And with your own logic! Why are you here? You don't even have powers! -Erika snapped.

- You 3 are destroying the team so fuck off! -Nya snapped.

- US?! At least we didn't change a boyfriend who cared for what a machine said! -Zai snapped back.

- Cole is my Perfect Match! What was I supposed to do?!

That made Cole's blood to boil.

- AND DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT I WANT?! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK OF WHAT THAT MACHINE THINK, I DON'T LOVE YOU! -he shouted.

Kai seemed pissed off, but he knew that Cole was right. Besides, except for Zai, Nya and the adults, everyone knew his feelings for my sister. And honestly I'm feeling odd about that... Nya growled and left the room. We got in an awkward silence.

- I want to cheer her up -Lloyd commented, back to Paty's situation.

- And how? -Kai asked- we don't even know what's bothering her.

- There's just want way to find out... -Cole said, and go to find her.

- Cole! Don't! -Jay called- this will end up really bad.

Actually Jay's right, Paty is really sensitive now, and what happened left Cole short tempered, in my opinion a recipe for chaos, and probably tears.

- Paty, seriously. Is something bothering you? -Cole asked when he found her.

- I'm great guys, like always... -she said coldly.

- Being always happy is impossible. Besides, I would believe it a month ago, now... you're all different -I said.
