Between the two

The Explanation - Chapter 5

Renee got out of the nurses office and it turns out she has a concussion.
"Hey you, Mr. Daleo." The nurse called after Chris. Chris turned around quickly.
"Yes?" He answered.
"How did you know she fell, she is in classroom 102 and you are in classroom 124?"
"When we were walking I saw her paper telling her where to go and it said 178."
"That makes no sense, I'll need to check everyone's papers for that malfunction."
"No, no, I know what happened. The guys in my class are jerks and they know how I care for Renee, so they decided to pull a joke on her. I knew something was wrong when I heard their snickering. And I......"
"Come on, we need the whole story. Don't worry they, will be punished for what they did."
"And I.... Grabbed Jake Carlen (the leader of the group of misfits) and I knocked him off of the desk on to the ground.... Then picked him up by the collar and threw him against the wall. I screamed in his face till he told me what he did to her and when he did I picked him up by the throat and slammed him into the floor. Then, I ran as fast as I could to get to her, but as we all know I was too late getting there and that class...." Chris went on. Renee's eyes widened because she listened in to every word hiding at the door. Larg sighed.
"Yes, we know about that class. The class of juveniles. I guess she didn't know because we switched their room. As far as the class we can't really do anything, but the guys who tricked her.... Well, they can be dealt with, but you are suspended too for causing violence on campus. On the bright side you can look after Renee and I must say you are a very honorable young man." Mrs. Large said. She smiled at him and motioned him out. The nurse went to her desk to tell the board about this insidence.

Chris found her at the door and they both bowed their heads in silence. They started to walk, but instead Renee just tumbled to the floor. Chris being Chris made it again his duty to protect her from any harm. He caught before she hit the floor. He held like bride in his arms as he carried her out of school with him.
