"When the devil reminds you of your past, you remind him of his future."
Explanation: If our past was bad and we asked forgiveness from Allah with a true heart then In Sha Allah we will be forgiven. So we shouldn't remember the past and have doubts in Allah saying,"did Allah forgive us or not," because we can't have doubts in the forgiveness of Allah. Allah says,
بِسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
(In the name of Allah the most gracious the most Merciful.) The devil wants us to have doubts in Allah(SWT), so he keeps reminding us of our past, but don't give in and instead remind him of his future which is hell.
