Jealousy ain't your colour

JULIETTE'S P.O.V

I wake up in Alex's arm, my head buried in between his neck and shoulders. I take a deep whiff of Alex's scent and snuggle into his arms. 

'Morning, Julie.' He says with his eyes shut close. I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. I turned to the bedside table and check the time. 

'Afternoon actually.' I correct him. It was 1:48 PM, meaning we slept through the night and the morning. It's been such a hectic night, causing me to sleep for a very long time. 

'I have to get up now and so do you. You know we have to announce our wedding date soon. When do you want to?' I shoot up and cover myself with the scrunched up piece of blanket. We were having our wedding on Christmas Eve, two weeks before Carly and Chase's wedding. Reena and Zach were getting married the next month. We were going to have such full schedules.

'How about today? Yeah, let's do it today so that we can cross something off our very long list.' I suggested. My list could be wrapped around the whole house twice and still have a bit more left. Most of it was about the wedding but we still had 6 more months so I wasn't in much of a hurry. Alex nods after he slips on his clothes and kisses me on the cheek. 

'Bye, love.' I wave before laying down again. I had time to spare for a bit. I lay on Alex's side and drift off to sleep.

'Julie. Julie. Julie. JULIE!' I jump and cover myself with the blanket. Reena and Carly stands in front of the bed with their arms crossed over their chests. They each have a smirk on their faces as my face burns red. They obviously knew what Alex and I did last night by the state of my nakedness. 

'H-hi!' I say and wrap the blanket closer to my body. When I make a hasty wrap dress out of it, I walk into the closet to find myself my real clothes. I find matching undergarments, a royal blue lace dress and pair of black t-strap pumps. I walk out to the bathroom and lock the door. 

After the shower, I slip on my clothes and let my hair spread. I walked out the door to see Carly and Reena going through my photos on my desk with everyone. I even had a small frame with Lucas and Ashton posing with me. Alex didn't really like it but I couldn't throw away my past just like that. 

'What you looking at?' I ask and they jump in surprise. They were holding the picture of Alex and I's first kiss. Carly dropped it but Reena caught it in time. We all sigh in relief and Reena put it back where they belong. 

'Nothing. Hey, did you know we had an assembly today?' Carly said, clapping her hands. I never knew why she enjoyed assemblies. I always felt like a stiff doll, having to set example and behaving properly at all times. I was never a Luna material. I loved being free and breaking the rules but destiny had something else planned for me I guess.

'I know. Alex and I are announcing our wedding dates.' I say and sit down in front the vanity. I carefully apply foundation, mascara, eyeliner, light blue eye shadow, pink blush and red lipstick. I knew this was too much make up but I wanted to look good and proper for the announcement. I fluffed my hair a little more before turning to Carly and Reena. 'What are you guys wearing?' 

'You see, that's why we're here. We need dresses.' I nod and gesture for them to follow me to the closet. I look through and find them each a dress with matching heels. For Carly, I picked out a dress with a green sparkly lace top and black tutu skirt with black ankle strap heels. I chose black keyhole dress and black pumps for Reena. They thanked me hurriedly and went to dress.

'Dear Nightfall River, Blood Hound and Crescent pack, today, Luna Juliette and I have an announcement.' People buzzed in anticipation as they began to make theories of the news. 'Quiet down, everyone. Thank you. As most of you know, Luna Juliette and I are engaged. We've been engaged for quite a while and we've been planning our wedding. We have finally decided on a date and we are getting married on Christmas Eve, in 6 months.' 

'We are thrilled to announce that we will be getting married soon and all of you all invited to the wedding. We will be having a ball next month in celebration of our wedding, the Betas' wedding and the Gammas' wedding.' I added and flashed a dazzling smile at everyone. Everyone shoots up from their seats and begins to clap and hoot. One person in particular however, does not. Instead, Ashton glares at Alex hatefully before stomping out the door. 

ASHTON'S P.O.V

I sit in the car seat with sorrowful tears streaming down my face. I might seem wimpy but could you judge me? The woman matched with me to be my soul mate is engaged to another wolf. Even worse, she was getting married in 6 months.

When I first saw Juliette in another man's arm, I was furious and jealous. Even if she was with him, I had a spark of hope in me, believing that I would be able to get Juliette back as mine. The hope shrank everyday a little by little but now, it was completely shattered. I would never be able to get her back, she belonged to Alpha Alex. She had his mark, his ring and his love. They were fully mated, meaning she couldn't feel our mate bond as strongly as I did. I might have marked Courtney but I never truly loved her, leading my heart back to Juliette. 

'I'm so stupid. I'm a fucking bastard who couldn't even keep his mate by him. Why are you so messed up?' I screamed to myself, throwing my head back. Maybe losing Juliette was the best. If I kept hurting her, I didn't deserve to be with her. She deserved someone like Alpha Alex who would surely keep her safe and shower her in pure love. Maybe she did belong with him...
