Confession Description: I can understand why Duchess is seen as in the wrong. When you really think about it, she could easily turn Rebel and completely avoid her destiny by making one but instead chooses to be Royal so she can steal another person's destiny.
Rebelliously_Yours' Take: First of all, hello! It's been a while!
Like many other confessions I have reviewed and placed my opinion on, I could not agree with this any better, to be completely honest.
I used to like Duchess Swan, and that was when her character was debuted in the webisodes, mainly the True Hearts Day trilogy. I thought she was sassy and spunktacular! She was pretty hip in my book. But that was before I read the books and looked deeper into her attitute. All I could say is "Wow".
I think I desperately wanted to sympathize with Duchess because of her rotten destiny, but by then, my attitude towards her had shifted deeply.
Now, because it doesn't really make any sense that Duchess's mother, the Swan Queen dies and then gives birth, I have read somewhere (probably from one of Mattel's hashtags, namely #Brooke'sSundaySecrets on their official IG account) that instead, Duchess is destined to turn into a swan at the end of her story.
She stays like that forever.
However, I do not find that a legitimate reason to try to "steal" someone else's story, especially if you decide to stay in the Royal allegiance.
Speaking of that, how would that actually work? B.R.D.T.S.o.L(= Before Raven destroyed the Storybook of Legends), everyone's destinies were set.
Either way, it's totally wrong.
